"Miss nothing," Ailonwy replied. "Ailonwy is my name." She looked into the sky, cursed the heat, shook her hair from her face. "And your name is...?" She continued smiling and held out a hand.

Sage nodded in thanks. When he took at the coin she dropped her shoulders and relaxed them. " True, But I think I have made my share to day" She said placing the silk pouch on the table. Sage questioned with her eyes as she seemed to ask ' Are you sure you will not take the coin?'

"Ailonwy, what a pretty name. Gotta hand it ta' you Elves, you've got a way with language. Call me Sy." He turned back to Sage and looked at her silk pouch, then at her eyes. 'Hmm... I suppose I oughta just take it, if for no other reason then ta' not insult her.' He smiled and slipped the gold coin into a pocket, and gave a little bow, "I thank you for your kindness." He looked up at her, "Miss...?"

Sage smiled again and slipped her silk pouch back into her hiding spot. " Take it as a tip for your music" Her eyes gave a glint of pureness. But it quickly ended as she took her gaze away. " Sage" She said her gaze still turned away, she shivered lightly as her body wished to turn wolf, but her mind said other whys. A slight chill caught her as her eyes flash a quick golden. She then looked at the fountain as her eyes were locked on the water.

Ailonwy chuckled at Kamui's comment. "Sy," she repeated. "You travelers sure have a way with brevity." She grinned, asking for no more than what he offered, as if she was used to it. "So, Sy and Sage, will you two be around for the festivities later? There's going to be an archery competition and dance. Oh, and free food." She smiled at Sy kindly, sitting comfortably next to Sage. Ailonwy had a way with making friends, but she also had a way with getting attached to them and feeling badly when they had to leave, as most of her friends were travelers. She didn't get along with many of the other residents her age. The men courted her and were often arrogant and selfish and the women were annoying with their lack of adventure and uppity attitudes. She decided she would ask Sy and Sage for tales of their adventures later on.

" ummmm, Why not. Not like I'm needed" She said closing her eyes and leaning back. Life was being good to her for once and she was loving it. Opening one eyes she smiled. A essence of Canis power was around her in indigo colours. It was her charka, a type of energy that was within each person. Indigo is the third eyes Chakra. This charka is used for difficult decisions and to wake up your sense and instincts.
Sage let her Chakra flow threw her like a river, her veins got a warm comforting feeling as they were full of good blood cells. Sage let her body completely relax in the Indigo Chakra.

"Brevity ya' say? Nah! Trust me, I can babble on about everyone an' everythin' sometimes...," He grinned then, "But I do like ta' play the mysterious traveler sometimes, just for kicks." "Hmm...," He looked thoughtful, lacing his finger behind his head as his tail swished slowly back and forth, "I'm not sure. Maybe we'll hang around, maybe not. Though the archery competition has tickled my fancy... Wait, wait... free food ya' say? Well, damn, count me in!"

Sage opened her eyes as she was relaxed " Free food is fine by me, saves me the pleasure of the hunt" Her voice rang as her eyes half closed, she was so calm it almost scared her.

Two travellers detached themselves from the throng of people surging through the main street of Balavan, stopping by the crystalline fountain to get their bearings. One was a boy, in rough and tumble clothing, wearing a ludicrously shaped green hat and with a bow slung over his shoulder. The other was a dog, unnaturally large and wearing a long-suffering look on his furred features.
"It looks like a festival, eh Garu?" Saro said excitedly, running a hand between the dog's black ears. "Excellent. I love festivals!" he said with a grin, his eyes taking in the colorful stands, the entertainment, and the very people themselves. "They do themselves well, the elves, don't they?" Saro said appreciatively as he glanced backwards at the beautiful fountain where they were sitting. Garu sighed and rolled his eyes, before giving Saro's arm a nudge. He was almost certain that the flightly youth had forgotten the reason why they'd come here in the first place.
"Look Garu, we'll find you a cure, but for now, why not just relax and enjoy life a bit?" Saro asked, poking Garu lightly on the forhead and soliciting a growl from the canine. "Besides, not only do they have archery competitions and free food today, but there's also a herbology academy here as well. Maybe they'll be able to whip up a potion that'll turn you back to normal, but in the meantime..." his traveling eyes had fallen upon an interesting trio: a girl selling meat, an orange haired youth with a tail, and, most importantly of all, an attractive looking elf girl. "Come on Garu, let's go." Saro decided impulsively, getting to his feet. The wolf-sized dog glanced curiously at his companion, and then followed his gaze to the girl. He covered his eyes with a paw and shook his head in exasparation, but Saro had already crossed over towards the three, leaving Garu to catch up, leaping lightly onto the fountain landing clumsily as he reached the other side. He froze next to the fountain, hackles rising. He could feel untrusting eyes burning into the back of his head.
"Hi there! Saro's the name, glad to meet you all!" Sarobando began with a wave, throwing the three of them a large grin, which lingered on the elven girl. "My brother and I are new to the city, and there's supposed to be a festival going on, right? It's going to be a blast." he said happily, putting his hands behind his head. "So, what are your names?" he asked.

Sage then looked at the boy and crocked her head. " Who wants to know?" Her voice rang a tad of aggression building. Sage's eyes flashed a golden and returned to there turquoise set.

"Hello, Saro, I'm Ailonwy," said...well... Ailonwy. She flashed him a smile. "We were just talking about the festival. I'm really looking forward to it. I love dancing, talking, and singing as well as listening to others sing. The festival is my favorite time of year. Also, my father will be home tonight. No doubt he'll scold me for not choosing a proper suitor yet." She rolled her eyes, but she was smiling, as she seemed to do a lot around people. She felt at home amongst them, but had to keep reminding herself that they would be leaving after the festivities. How she wished adventure could be hers.

"Ailonwy. That really is a beautiful name. Does it mean anything special?" Saro asked, readjusting his cap. The other girl didn't seem interested in talking, and he hadn't even seen the boy's face yet, although he seemed familiar. "But either way, what's this about you having to choose a suitor? Why not just go for someone you like?"
Garu groaned in his head as he heard this. And there he goes again. Playing Robin Hood with every girl he meets. he thought wryly, turning his head away from the scene... and right into the watchful eyes of a very familiar wolfdog. "Sakurako?" Garu asked in dog, so that it came out as a soft bark. At the same time he noticed a rutsack by the fountain, just an inch from his paw. Respectfully, he edged away.
In the meantime, Saro had finished telling Ailonwy that he'd love to hear her sing, and was just about to begin one of his jokes before he heard Garu's bark. Since Garu hardly ever 'spoke', Saro felt compelled to turn his head and took in the scene. "Huh? Hey..." He turned his head so quickly that his neck got sore, and this time turned his gaze to the orange-haired man with the tail. "I can't believe it! It's Kamui!" said Saro excitedly.

"No, nothing special," Ailonwy replied with the flash of a smile. "And there's no one I care for around here. Most of the citizens here are uppity, the men are arrogant and think they can give me the world. Just once, I'd like to find a man that didn't think he owned the world in the first place." Ailonwy gave a little laugh, then Saro had his outburst. "What? But he just said his name was Sy." She looked a little confused.

Sakurako continued to watch Garu silently for a moment, but giving no other acknowledgment. Her expression was unreadable as she sat watching over the sleeping Yibbles, the rutsack, and Kamui's two weapons, both which radiated an unnatural chill reminiscent of a grave. "Yo. Fancy seein' you here in this far corner of the world, Saro. The Niflheimr Sea, what a pain that is ta' cross!" He noted Ailonwy's look of confusion and shrugged, "I go by either. My full name is Kamui Syvil the Seventh, but that'd be a pain ta' say all the time." Eria was one place he didn't have to worry, for his bounty did not extend to the Elven lands.

Ailonwy thought over the way Sy had pronounced his first name before repeating it. She was quite good learning foreign languages, due to the fact that she could imitate accents and pick up on their different sounds quite quickly. "Kamui Syvil the Seventh," she finally resaid. "Well, I'm already acquainted with Sy, but at least I'm no longer baffled." She smiled, which she seemed to be doing a lot today, even more than normal.
