→ Fweir Mountains

An offshoot of the Grand Mountain Range, it is located in Märmosia's central region, extending south, into the Basque Plains, almost splitting it in two.
Though not the biggest offshoot, consisting of three mountains, it is notable for various reasons. One of which is the ore and gem deposits of the Grand are richest here, much to the annoyance of the Märmosians, as it is an autonomous region and inhabited by Dwarves, who have built grand cities of stone under and within the Fweir Mountains. The Dwarves have their own names for the mountains, "Fweir" is used mostly by outsiders.
The Dwarven craftsmen and smiths produce some of the finest accessories, armor, and weapons in all of Syrunn.
