Basque Plains

This long stretch of fertile flatlands is located in Märmosia's central lowlands. The Grand Mountain Range is to the north, east, and west, with the Oriens Ocean to the south.
It is divided into two seperate areas by the Fweir Mountain Range, a small offshoot of the Grand: Southern Basque Plains and Northern Basgue Plains.
The Ulbrecht Pass is at the western end of the southern plains, with the city of Ulbrecht farther west.
With the kingdom's colder climate the short growing season is restricted, but it is one of the few areas suitable for farming in the mountainous kingdom, making it a very important area. Most of the space is used for farming or raising livestock, however, to the south, along the Oriens Ocean, there are a number of prosperous fishing towns. Also, there are a couple cities and a few towns in the northern part of the plains.
