"I imagine so..." He said, looking out to sea for a moment before looking back at Li'an. "Sure, man, whadda ya' wanna know?" Yibbles yawned and rooled over in Kamui's arms, Sakurako stared out to sea.

"D'ya 'ave a lady waitin' fer ya?" He asked, seemingly completely serious, his eyes on him questioningly. If he didn't have a girl, he could perhaps start from there a string of investigations to see if he liked other men. 'Course he was much too secretive about his own love life to just outright ask, or make moves. Usually it was Seven who helped him out.

"That's... kinda a complicated answer." Kamui turned back to the sea, but there was something distant in his eyes, as if he wasn't even seeing the water. Li'an's question had definitely struck a chord. The sleeping piglet stirred and Kamui held him closely. Whether this was to comfort Yibbles or himself was not clear. "I'm not really sure I can give ya' a yes or no answer...," He said after a moment of silence, "...I know not her true feelings, nor do I know if she's aware I'm alive." He gave a small laugh, but it was humorless, laced with mental anguish. "I don't even know if she's alive... Ya' know, the girl I asked ya' about, Hikaru." He was silent for another brief moment, staring without really seeing anything. "But won't ya' ask me your real question...?" He asked suddenly, speaking quietly, with a rueful half grin on his face. "Pheromones... people unconsciously emit trace amounts throughout the day, but desire and attraction, even some thoughts, triggers the release of greater amounts, also unconsciously." He paused, then added, "...I can smell pheromones, even the trace amounts."
(Heh heh, Li'an seems to have a knack or somethin' for brinning out glimpses of Kamui's inner turmoil.)

Li'an shifted uncomfortably. So...he had a women he wanted to be with. Regardless if she acknowledged him it was still hopeless for him. He shrugged. "Nah...tha' was meh question love." He wouldn't press himself on Kamui...he'd rather stay distant anyway...his eyes went to the sky. "I s'ould ta'e the wheel..." He murmured, and he stood straight up, stretching lightly and heading to the wheel, taking it from a crewman. Heh...well...so much for that huh? Friends only...Friends weren't bad at all...he just wished to find someone he could trust to...be with him.
(Yeah he does XD Li'an does it completely obliviously XD)

(Well, here comes Kamui's outlet for said inner turmoil...)
"I see..." Kamui said empathetically as Li'an left for the wheel. He knelt down and gently laid the sleeping piglet before Sakurako, laid down next to the piglet. Turning, he walked back to Li'an's quarters, slipping inside only to retrieve his rutsack. In a small gust of wind blowing across the deck, Kamui appeared many feet above, sitting on the tip of the highest yardarm of the main-mast, seemingly without climbing up. It was like he was just there, somehow, where he wasn't a minute previous. He was sitting cross-legged, his tail wrapped around the yardarm to balance himself. His rutsack was hanging by it's strap, swinging in the wind. He closed his eyes and brought to his lips a plain wooden ocarina, beautifully carved, elegant in its simplicity. Blowing into the instrument, nimble fingers moved dexterously to manipulate the finger holes, producing a slow, enchanting melody. It was sorrowful, powerfully haunting, an extension of his inner grief. Seemingly oblivious to the world, he gracefully moved back and forth with the music, having a certain air of tranquility about him.

Li'an's sensitive ears picked up the sound of the music and he smiled a little. It seemed that Kamui was trying to spread sorrow. He chuckled a moment. Ah well...let the man do what he wished. He barked out a few orders to his men, who leapt to it immediately. The ship seemed to lurch forward, as if pulled by an immense force, cutting the waves and their speed increasing. Li'an sighed lightly as the wind pulled at his hair and made him grin. This was sailing at its best.

Kamui's song came to an end and he lowered the ocarina, opening his eyes. "Bwah... Enough with this depressin' music..." His tail tightened its grip on the yardarm slightly. 'Hmm... I sense magic where I did not before... So, that's how it can make the trip so fast. What an incredible ship. Captain an' crew seem quite skilled too.' He played a few notes of a cheery, upbeat song. "Li'an," He called out from above, knowing the half elf could her from this distance, "Do you or your crew have any requests? Or I can just match the rhythm of your shanty-man."

"How 'bout me 'n the crew sing a song to ya eh?" He said, a grin splitting his features, and a few of those near enough to hear him. Li'an, the loud boisterous person he was, had never had a need to appoint a shanty-man. He always started the loud songs, and was followed up by the others. "See if'n ya can play 'bove us savvy?" Without further ado he started out, a few others catching on, until everyone was pretty much in sync with one another. "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum Drink and the devil had done for the rest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. The mate was fixed by the bosun's pike The bosun brained with a marlinspike And cookey's throat was marked belike It had been gripped by fingers ten; And there they lay, all good dead men Like break o'day in a boozing ken Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Fifteen men of the whole ship's list Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Dead and be damned and the rest gone whist! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! The skipper lay with his nob in gore Where the scullion's axe his cheek had shore And the scullion he was stabbed times four And there they lay, and the soggy skies Dripped down in up-staring eyes In murk sunset and foul sunrise Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Fifteen men of 'em stiff and stark Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Ten of the crew had the murder mark! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! 'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead Or a yawing hole in a battered head And the scuppers' glut with a rotting red And there they lay, aye, damn my eyes Looking up at paradise All souls bound just contrawise Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Fifteen men of 'em good and true Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Ev'ry man jack could ha' sailed with Old Pew, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! There was chest on chest of Spanish gold With a ton of plate in the middle hold And the cabins riot of stuff untold, And they lay there that took the plum With sightless glare and their lips struck dumb While we shared all by the rule of thumb, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
More was seen through a sternlight screen... Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum Chartings undoubt where a woman had been Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. 'Twas a flimsy shift on a bunker cot With a dirk slit sheer through the bosom spot And the lace stiff dry in a purplish blot Oh was she wench or some shudderin' maid That dared the knife and took the blade By God! she had stuff for a plucky jade Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Fifteen men on a dead man's chest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum Drink and the devil had done for the rest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. We wrapped 'em all in a mains'l tight With twice ten turns of a hawser's bight And we heaved 'em over and out of sight, With a Yo-Heave-Ho! and a fare-you-well And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!" The song was almost sung as if they were mocking death. Li'an had a sparkle in his eyes and many of the crew were moving faster because of it.
(ahur, I love this song XD I dunno if its appropriate but I love it ^^)

Kamui grinned, listening to the pirates sing for a moment before closing his eyes, raising the ocarina to his lips. Though the one instrument was drowned out by the men's boisterous and hardy voices, Kamui stayed in perfect rhythm with them.
(Why wouldn't it be appropriate? Seems like a good song to me.)

When the song had ended the ship seemed to be in higher spirits than before, and Li'an was grinning ear to ear. "'Ow was tha', eh Kamui?" He asked, playful eyes glittering as he looked up to the newest crewmember.
(I dunno really...it just seemed outta place I guess XD)

"Ah, it was great!" Kamui called down, stowing the ocarina in the rutsack and lifting it off the yardarm. He loosened his tail and leaned back, flipping off the yardarm. Gravity took effect and he immediately began to fall, yet his descent was slowed, as if some unseen force was acting upon him. Gently touching down upon the deck with no noise other then a slight flutter of his vest, he grinned, "I'm invigorated! Quick, put me ta' work, man. What's there ta' be done around here?"
(Out of place? I don't know about you, but that song definitely says "pirate" to me.)

"'Ow 'bout ya ta'e the wheel?" he said, patting the wheel his hands were on. "It's 'ard work...an' if'n ya kin do it right...it'll give ya no trouble. 'Ow 'bout it?" he said, a light grin caressing his features. He was eager to find Seven, but he was having far too much fun with his newest crew member. Kamui had a lot to learn about sailing, and Li'an didn't mind teaching him.
(Well alright ^^ If it worked for you ^^ hehe)

"I'd love ta' try my hand at the wheel," Kamui said walking over to join Li'an at the helm, "But remember I have a horrible sense of direction, so don't stray to far from me, or we're liable to end up in Märmosia!" He laughed, mostly at himself, as he dropped his rutsack onto the deck and took the wheel. "Okay, what now, man?" He asked inquisitively, obviously eager to learn.

"Do ya feel the pull a' the wheel?" he asked, leaning back and watching him. "We're headin' inta a storm ahead. It'll be hard ta kee' it steady...Kee' goin' the way we are." This was a good way to teach, and to also get off having to steer for awhile. He knew these oceans and the coastlines like the back of his hand.

"Yeah, I can feel it. After those barrels, this shouldn't be a problem... wait, what? Storm?" Kamui sniffed the air. "Ah, yeah. It does smell like rain... Then there's those storm clouds... Ah, well, bring it on, I say, bring it on! Heh heh, I can keep it in the same direction for sure, but other then that... I've got no idea which way port or starboard is... my direction sucks."
