Enelya was sleeping peacefully after a long day of babysitting. Sound too kind for her? Her job was simple: take the kid to Xyndi and get paid a nice amount of gold. She hadn't been told whether it was ransom, slavery, bloody vengeance, or what, but she didn't care to hear it, either. She still thought it an idiotic task for a villain such as her to be wasting her time on and the money was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow preventing her from throwing the child off the rainbow.
Nonetheless, she had boarded The Travesty with the twelve-year-old girl. The ship's name fit it perfectly; it was a travesty of a ship. It was dilapidated, old, and probably was of shoddy workmanship before the many years of tormenting waves it had somehow endured. It was a joke to Enelya's employer, apparently. He had been cheesed off that she expected such great pay for such a small task, so he had wasted as little money of his as possible in traveling costs.
"Elle! Elle! Wake up!" Enelya opened an eye to see a terrified girl standing with a lit candle. "It's storming bad!"
"Oh, and I suppose you're scared?" The girl nodded. "Okay, kid, let's get something straight. You call me Vixyn. Or Vix. Hell, call me Yn if you wish. Just don't call me Elle." She sat up and stretched, feeling the ship rock unexpectedly. Suddenly, a door burst open and sailor's head poked in.
"Miss Elf," he called into the room. "We need a weather-wielder. Do you know any spells -- Wait. You're not an Elf!" He stepped into the room.
"Close your eyes," Enelya ordered the little girl in a harsh whisper. She obeyed. "Would you have let me board if you had known I was a Drow?" she asked rhetorically. She moved her wrist and mouthed a few words. The sailor's hands flew to his throat as he tried futilely to breathe. "Drown in your prejudice." She walked over to him and shoved him out the door, slamming it shut. "I don't know any weather spells, anyway... Open your eyes now."

(What exactly did Enelya do to the man? Is he still choking, just outside the room? If that's the case, do you mind if Kamui saves the man in my intro? I figure it would be a good way to connect our characters right off the bat, versus having my charrie off on some other part of the ship, away from yours. Plus, it's kinda what Kamui does... tryin' to save people an' all that. You know, this is all assuming you don't mind if I join.)

Curiously enough not too far from the outside of Enelya's cabin, on the deck near a railing, was misshapen and slumped over form, wrapped in a tattered cloak made of rough materials. A tattered and wide brimmed hat was atop the form's head, making only a pair of half opened, dull looking eyes visible, one green, one orange. Exposed to the heavy rain, the brim of the hat was filled with water and overflowing, running down the cloak, which appeared to be waterproof despite it's seemingly shabby make. The gusts of wind fluttered the cloak and flashes of orange, black, white, and pink could be briefly seen underneath. Overall, it seemed to be some poor, downtrodden soul who looked somewhat at home on the dilapidated old ship. Not even warranting a glance from the flustered sailor, the man rushed past and into Enelya's cabin. The form underneath the cloak stirred slightly. 'Magic is at work... I can smell it.' Only a moment later the same sailor stumbled back out of the cabin, as if he had been pushed. Water sloshed from the brim of the hat as the person under the cloak turned to look at the man. 'Looks like he's chokin'...' A voice could be heard from under the cloak, "Drows... what can ya' do? Ah, well... Greater Dispel Magic!" A hand flung something onto the deck, a blank scroll which was quickly drenched in the rain.

Enelya turned on heel, hearing the voice and knowing the words well enough. The girl looked confused.
"What's going on, Elly?"
"Silence, girl! Cover your ears," she spat. She opened the door to find a panting sailor that had stumbled to his feet. He was stammering his thanks to a man in tattered clothing. He looked fearfully at Enelya, freezing. Then he quickly slipped behind the stranger, shivering in fear. Enelya smiled coldly at the sailor's savior. "Magic is not a solid form, sailor," Enelya said distastefully. "If I wanted to hex you right now, I could, no matter how many men you put in your path." She turned her pretty face to the cloaked man, smiling. "I don't believe we've had the chance to meet..." She left the sentence open, as if she was waiting for an introduction, but continued before the man could have had time. "And I hope you're out of scrolls. Because, if that despicable excuse for a man cowering behind you like the dog he is runs off and alerts the whole boat to what I am, I'm going to have to slaughter the whole ship. If you do have more scrolls, we might have to get to know each other. And I would just hate for our first date to end with you in a casket."
"I... I won't t-tell anyone m-miss, p-pr-promise," the sailor stuttered. "I was j-just d-doing my... my j-job."
"Silence," she hissed. He quieted. "I trust you just about as far as I can throw you... But perhaps that's a poorly-used metaphor, because I'd wager that I could throw you much, much further than I trust you."

"Nah, don't worry about it." Came the voice from under the cloak as the sailor gave his thanks. "Hm?" The wide brimmed hat turned to face Enelya as the sailor ducked behind him. He listened to her speak, listened to her threaten him, but remained silent and still, water still dripping off his brim. It was when she silenced the sailor that the person in the cloak spoke, rather cheerily despite the situation, "Ah, leave 'im alone. Even if he did tell, what could the people aboard this ship do ta' you? Even this storm doesn't pose much of threat, I'd wager." Then the eyes visible underneath the hat became focused, and the voice became slightly more serious, but still retained a pleasant tone, "See, what concerns me is this. I watched you board the ship. Now, it's been awhile since I've been ta' Nroh, so correct me if I'm mistaken, but have Drows taken ta' travelin' with young girls as of late?" Then he casually added, seemingly as an afterthought, "Oh, by the way, I've got five more scrolls, all just like the first one. Though... I think I'd like ta' be cremated when my time is up."

Ooc;Well Nivashka is joining this RP as Kamui suggested. For now she'll be a spectator and enter the conversation later, if you two don't mind.
Bic; The storm poured upon the cloaked woman, and black panther as they stood on the deck. Rain, and rage in the ocean bothered neither of them. Both were on the ship simply for travel, and had no real destination.
Thelia had been lucky enough to get passageway on The Travesty. The old rot wood boat wasn't an expensive travel ship, so it made for a good deal... if the ship survived the voyage, and if no one learned of her race. She was as well a drow, and her concealing cloak was her only hiding place from the truth. The wind whipped, revealing Izothelia's black attire, with the shining silver tunic. With the darkness of the storm, Thelia's identity for the moment was still hidden. But it would not be for long. The wet cloak dripped and occasionally stuck to her wet clothing. As for Stormeil, his black fur coat was soaked, yet he did not mind in the least, as when the sun did shine, he would be wet no more.
Her and Stormeil listened merely to the rain, but both turned heads as magic was casted. First their eyes were drawn to the choking sailor, than the shabby man with his scrolls. In moments, a drow emerged from the cabin from once the sailor had come.
Both the necromancer and panther were interested in what was going on, and would intervene if needed. The two took cautious steps towards the scene listening in the conversation. At the point that the cloaked man had spoke, Thelia was standing next to the sailor staring with calm eyes at Enelya. She leaned on her long wooden staff with a gnarled head grasping a glowing silver stone.
For a moment she considered saying something, but decided it was best to keep silent. She did not know how dangerous either Kamui or Enelya was, so she simply observed and listened in. Storm sat down at Thelia's leg, his long black tail waving about as he listened in.

"I've heard similar stories to what they do to Drow," Enelya said. "Throw them from the ship, feed them to sharks, or just slaughter them aboard and dump their bodies. I've seen it happen." She shook her hair from her face. "And the little girl is none of your concern, despite your knack for barging into others' affairs." The ship rocked viciously, causing water to poor in from above and splash onto Enelya's feet.
"Elle, what's going on?" asked a little voice. Enelya turned to see the girl.
"Did I not tell you to cover your ears and remain in the cabin?" she hissed.
"I'm hungry," she said.
"I'll fetch us something from the kitchens," Enelya said. She stared at the girl, waiting for her to go back inside, but she folded her hands in front of her and was looking at Kamui.
"How do you do?" she asked, curtsying. Enelya groaned. The girl caught the hint, curtsied again, and went back inside. Enelya closed the door.
"Watch her," she snarled at the sailor. "I'll know if you leave." She shook her hair from her face and started up the stairs to the deck, casting an enchantment for dispelling water.

"I am sorry for the loss of your Drow sisters an' brethren," He said, sounding quite earnest, even sympathetic, strangely enough, "But that does not give ya' the right ta' take his life. An eye for an' eye leaves the whole world blind. Anywho, if you're that concerned about what the people aboard might do ta' you, then think about it like this: mayhaps I just saved your life as well as the sailors. Because had I not interfered then the dead body of a sailor outside your cabin would not have found you in good favor amongst the rest of the crew an' passengers..." "...Ah, hello there, little one," He said addressing the girl pleasantly, a hand reaching out from the cloak to tip his hat as she curtsied, "I'm quite well, yourself?" "Or not." He said as the girl went back into the cabin. "Hmm... Now that it's been mentioned, we're a bit peckish ourselves... Could I trouble ya' ta' possibly get us somethin' while you're goin'?" He audaciously called after Enelya. He then stood up for the first time, revealing a small piglet and an elegant looking wolf-dog as part of the source of his previously misshapen form. Neither very tall, nor very short, he actually appeared to be on the skinny side, though it was hard to tell his exact build due to the large cloak. There was a dull glint of metal every now and then as the cloak billowed in the wind, revealing what could very well be a sheathed sword. There was also a long and vaguely scythe-like shape strapped to his back, under the cloak. Up till this point, he could have possibly seemed cool and mysterious, but all that went out the window when he turned around and spontaneously started to make baby talk toward Stormeil, "Aww! Who's a cute kitty! You are! Yes, you are!"

Thelia patiently listened in, and watched the little girl. Part of her felt sorry because Enelya was being harsh. But, she did not know Enelya's relationship with the girl, and nor did she know how the little girl was really treated. Either way, the little girl seemed a bit more polite than Enelya, but that was normal considering drows weren't exactly welcome everywhere.
Suddenly, the strange man turned to Storm and talked childishly. Thelia's lips formed a large grin and she looked at Storm. Storm's tail fell with a loud thud right after Kamui spoke. "Not to sound rude sir, but I like to think of myself as a full grown cat... and I am not cute." Storm grumbled, clearly embarrassed. "Oh don't be like that Storm! You're adorably cute," Thelia teased. A low growl escaped from Stormeil's throat and he sat up completely.
Thelia looked up at Kamui and smiled, "I'm Thelia, and this is Storm," she introduced herself, then turned to Eneyla as she walked off.

Enelya stopped, glaring back at Kamui. Had he just asked her to fetch him some food? And where had that wolf and piglet come from? She noticed that they must have been under his cloak, for he was now a normal-shaped human. Perhaps he'd leave her be if she got him some food.
"Fine, fine," she growled. "Keep an eye on the girl, make sure she stays out of mischief, will you?" She stormed off, considering poisoning his food fervently before deciding against it. Mayhap Kamui could keep the girl off her back while she slept, since he seemed to share the girl's feelings on cats...
As the girl heard Kamui's outburst, she ignored Enelya's commands entirely and stepped out of her room. She closed the door behind her and looked around excitedly for a kitty. Her eyes landed on one, but it was talking. She looked a little confused, but all that fell away from her face as she noticed that there was a simply darling piglet next to Kamui. She knelt down and lifted him into her arms, petting him and temporarily forgetting her manners. "Oh, sir," she said, remembering them. She tugged on his cloak. "May I please play with the piggy?"

"G'rftte!" Kamui called after Enelya, unsure as to whether or not she actually heard it. Then he turned back to Storm. "Nah, man, I'm sorry, but I'm gonna hafta agree an' say you are adorable," Kamui said with a smirk, lacing his fingers behind his head. 'I figured there was somethin' special 'bout 'im. not every day ya' see a panther speakin' Common." Sakurako did not seem to agree, with the wolf-dog pacing behind him, throwing the large cat an occasional dirty look. Kamui then looked at Thelia, nodding his head a bit, "Vendui', Thelia. Storm. Uss-- ...Hmm?" Whatever he was going to say was interrupted by the girl tugging on his cloak. He looked down at her with a smile and laughed a bit, "Of course, of course! The lit'le oinker loves attention." Indeed, the little piglet did seem to love the attention from the girl. A smile on his face, if pigs could even do that, he leaned into her hand when she petted him and snuggled up against her.
(G'rftte is Drow for Thanks. Vendui' is a Drow greeting, meaning I/We greet you. In this case Kamui means "We", as in Sakurako and Yibbles, too. Uss could either be "one" or merely an incomplete word.)

"You should accept the compliment Storm, he thinks you look cute! That's good... because it means you've fooled outsiders who don't know you. They take you for a simple, adorable kitty, then you surprise them being a wild beast. It's a great tactic really, besides, who wouldn't think those soft ears, and long whiskers aren't cute!" Thelia was grinning the entire time she spoke.
"I'm gonna take a walk," Storm replied sourly, giving Sakurako a short glance. The black panther stalked off, and Thelia sighed.
"Not a very social one," She brightened though as the girl picked Yibbles up. "What a nice lil' pig." She smiled, "Does he or she have a name?" She asked, reaching out to scratch behind the pig's ear.

"Does Elle like me?" the girl asked doubtfully, petting the piglet and sharing him with Thelia. There was something cold and standoffish about the wolf, but it was beautiful and she longed to pet it, too, anyway. She itched behind Yibbles's ears and pulled him into her lap as she sat cross-legged on the ship.
Enelya stopped dead. Had he just spoken her tongue? And quite well, too. If it weren't for the radiance in his voice and the fact that she knew better, she would have assumed he was a Drow from his accent. Normally, outsiders speaking her tongue angered her, but she smiled at this and headed down into the kitchens, hoping she'd pick out something that he was allergic to. The wind was beastly and water kept splashing onto the deck, so it was slippery. She used magic to cause her shoes to dry the surfaces they touched and to shield herself from rain. She chose not to use a shield for the wind; it would surely blow her over.

"His name is Yibbles, but I call 'im Yib for short. That's Sakurako," He motioned to the brooding wolfdog. "You'll hafta excuse her, she's not very social either." He told Thelia before turning to the girl. "Well...," He chuckled as the piglet curled up in her lap, giving a small yawn and beginning to doze off despite the wind and rain, "...I can't really speak for Elle, but I can say with certainty Yib likes ya', which means ya' must be a very special lit'le lady. He doesn't nap on just anybody's lap." "So... where it is that you an Elle are headin'... Um, hey, what's your name by the way?" He casually asked the girl. "Ya' can call me Sy, or even Kamoo if ya' prefer."
