Alexia didn't think it looked funny. Okay, well, maybe a little... But she only needed to remind herself that this was important adventurer's business to banish any thoughts of giggling at it. If this was what you had to do to become an adventurer...
She mimicked him carefully. It was tough, but she completed the pose... for a moment. She adjusted her feet and retried until she was satisfied that she was doing as Kamui was to the best of her ability.
"Like this, Kamoo?"

"Uh-huh, good job. Okay, now, I don't want ya' ta' try this. Just watch. This is called Vrschikasana, or Scorpion Pose... It strengthens the shoulders, abs, an' your back. Not ta' mention it improves balance. However, I usually take it further..." From Adho Mukha Svanasana, he kicked off with his feet and went into a handstand. From there he bent his knees, while lifting his head, until his feet came to rest on his head. His knees were separated, but he kept his toes together. "Now, here come's the real trainin'..." Holding the pose, started to do handstand pushups. "One... Two... Three..."

Alexia watched him and couldn't help but let her mouth go agape and her eyes go wide in amazement at this difficult pose. She was thrown further into awe as he started doing push-ups. She hoped that she, too, could do such things one day.
"Kamoo, that's neat!" she finally exclaimed. Even a few sailors had stopped running around the deck to gaze at this. Alexia had already thought Kamui was the most interesting person she had ever met. "He's my best friend," she said proudly to the sailors that were staring, putting her hands on her hips confidently.

(So... I'm just gonna skip ahead a bit, if you don't mind...)
Kamui paid the sailors no mind and merely continued his exercise. "334... 335... 336..." There was a steady drip of sweat from his chin, forming a pool on the deck below him. His muscles ached and burned, but on he went. That was the whole point of endurance training and conditioning after all. If he couldn't hack it now, then what would he done in a real fight against a truly strong opponent? "459... 460... 461... ... ...497!" He cried and dropped to the deck on his stomach, rolling over onto his back. His chest was heaving, sweat pouring, and he could hardly move at this point, every muscle in his body screaming at him. "I've... let... myself... go..." He gasped between breaths.

"It's okay, you can do five hundred tomorrow," Alexia said, as if five hundred Scorpion Pose push-ups were a walk in the park. She sat down next to him, grinning affably. The men continued to stare, a much larger group having accumulated by this time. None of them seemed to want to speak to him, in fact, most appeared to fear him. They continued watching him, however, as he laid there, catching his breath.
"Keep staring, he might blow you a kiss!" Alexia growled sarcastically at them. The men dispersed then, more for fear of the man laying down than Alexia. She smiled, proud of herself, and turned back to her best friend. "I bet you're hungry, huh?"
For him being her best friend, she didn't know him very well, did she?

"Oh... jus' a... wee bit... I suppose," He said after a few minutes and slowly sat up. He raised his arm, which felt much heavier then normal, to wipe the sweat of his face. "Whoo, I'm sweatin' up a storm. I'm pretty thirsty, too... Say... Alexia, why don't ya' go with Sak an' get some food, an' bring it back here? Like a picnic?" Sakurako, who had been patiently grooming her coat until now, stepped forward at mention of her name.

"I love picnics!" Alexia said cheerily, standing and brushing off her dress. "I'll be right back, Kamoo." She ran across the deck and found the kitchen. Within it, she looked around for things that Kamui might like. She made sure to put in some fruit, vegetables, and meat. Finally, she grabbed a loaf of bread and shoved it in the sack, tying it closed and setting it aside. "Ma'am, can I have that whole pitcher? My best friend and me are having a picnic!"
The lady laughed as she looked at her. "Oh my, what it was like to be a child," she muttered. "Yes, you may." She gave Alexia the pitcher, who thanked her before grabbing the sack and returning to Kamui.
"If this isn't enough, Kamoo, I can get more,"Alexia said, sitting the sack down. She was too small to have carried a very large sack. "I couldn't carry any cups. I can get some, if you like."

Sakurako followed Alexia to and from the kitchens, remaining silent the entire time. When they returned, she sat down in the same spot as before. "Nah, I wouldn't wanna put ya' out. Thank you." Kamui said, his nose twitching. "Heh! It smells good... Okay, let's see what we've got..." He opened the sack and pulled out a piece of fruit, which he passed to Yibbles. A piece of meat went to Sakurako and he chomped down a crisp apple, savoring its juiciness, which eased his thirst somewhat. But after such intense exercise a person works up a powerful thirst, not to mention he didn't want to dehydrate. "As for cups? Who needs 'em?" He said, picking up the pitcher and gulping down half its contents.

Alexia giggled. Her etiquette tutor would have slapped Kamui on the wrists for that. He had always preached to her about sitting up straight, holding her tea cups correctly, and using the right silverware at the right time as well as forcing her to do all those balance exercises. She sat down and drank from the pitcher, it felt odd, but free.
"Master Caldsworth would be so mad," she said, but there was no guilt, just cheer.
