(Quick question. About how heavy would you say the thing is?)

((I'd say pretty heavy, but not completely, ridiculously so. About 200-300 pounds?))

"<Ha ha. Yes, I suppose oddness can be relative. But I meant no offense.>" He followed her, looking around at the forlorn objects and machinery. Sakurako and Yibbles following behind him. He laughed a bit "<Though, you're not the first one ta' call me odd. I'm only half-human, actually.>" He moved forward to pick up the piece of machinery, doing so with only moderate effort. "<Aw. That's kinda sad. Where do ya' want this... thingy?>"
(Ah. See, he has a strength score of 23 [D&D]. Anything under 200 pounds is a light load. 201-400 pounds is a medium load. 401-600 is a heavy load for him. According to D&D rules, a character can lift up to his max load above his head and double that off the ground... which is where I got the figures in his bio, by the way. Same with Kuaixing and Ndegwa... You know, not that any of this matters.)

"<Ah, s'okay. I don't take offense to most things.>" Breanna shrugged, watching with unhidden amazement as he heaved the piece of machinery over his head, the words 'half human' actually seeming to catch her attention briefly. "<Only half? So you're half somethin' else as well?>" she asked, looking around for somewhere to put the machine. "<That thingy can go... um... over here.>" she motioned for her to follow him, inching through the space that the machine had taken up and pointing to a clear area in the corner, near something that looked more or less like a giant spring.

"<Yeah. My father was human, my mother wasn't.>" He said, hesitant to tell Breanna that the other half was demonic. A lot of people assumed he was an anthro of some sort, and he preferred to just let them think this. Though, he wouldn't lie if asked directly. "<All righty.>" He said nimbly weaving through the scraps and machine parts to the clear spot. He was tempted to drop the piece he was carrying on top of the giant spring to see what would happen, but decided against it and just placed it next to the spring.

((Aww, and we could have accidentally invented a giant catapault! xD))
"<Oh? Sounds interestin'. More interestin' than the usual type of people who come in here... not that they really come inside by themselves...>" she paused to giggle, "<I don't really remember my parents. Weren't very interesting people.>" she shook her head, seeming satisfied as he put the hunk of machinery down. "<Perfect!>" she beamed, interrupted by a rumble of thunder that shook the foundations of the farmhouse. "<Whoaa... thunder's close. Might be time to try the lightning rod.>" she nodded, wandering off towards the entrance to the barn, before quite suddenly remembering that Kamui was there. "<You wanna come? Or there's some other bits of machinery that need movin' down here, if you wanna stay...>"

"<I can't say I really remember my father. He was a soldier. Fell in battle shortly before I was born.>" The little piglet stopped and looked, seemingly puzzled about where the booming thunder came from. Kamui picked Yibbles up and made to follow Breanna. "<Um... anyway. Lightnin' rod, huh? That sounds interestin'. You have some kinda experiment planned?"

"<In battle? Just as good a way to go as any. I'd prefer to not to go at all, though, I guess...>" she reasoned, pausing by the door now to turn and beam at him. "<An experiment? Yeah, I guess it could be called that. Hopefully if the lightning hits the rod these things should get some power in 'em.>" she pointed to small metal orbs fixed alond the walls of the workshop, "<An' then I might be able to give some life to that!>" she pointed above their heads, where what looked like the broken remains of an aircraft hung dejectedly. It was a marvellous piece of Lost Technology, but it didn't look very safe.

He looked to the metal orbs with curiosity. "<What're...> Oooo." He drifted off, looking up at the thing hanging above their heads.

"<Uh huh. Oooooo.>" Breanna agreed with a bright, excitable grin, not seeming to realise that even if this experiment of hers worked and the thing got jolted to life, it was very unlikely she'd be able to pilot it... or get it down from the ceiling without destroying it. "<I found it on the Grand Mountain Range a few years back. Dunno when it's from. Seems real old though.>" she told him with a voice full of pride, before throwing out the barn door and walking out into the howling wind and thrashing rain.

He stood for a moment, gazing up at the object, pondering its purpose. Though his technical knowledge was limited, his natural curiosity was very much sparked by the thing. 'Are those wings? ...Was this thing meant ta' fly?' "Watch Yib, Sak." Kamui told Sakurako, following Breanna out the door. Sakurako, perfectly content to remain inside where she could keep her coat dry, took up a spot near the barn door. The piglet was wandering around under the careful watch of the wolfdog.

Breanna had already disappeared around the side of the barn, which looked remarkably rickety and unstable in the storm. It was strange to think that it must have survived previous batterings like this one and survived, by all logic it should be a ruin by now. The Gnome had located what she was looking for; a frayed and rotting latter, which she swiftly climbed to get onto the roof, which looked just as dangerous as the rest of the place. "<S'a big storm today!>" she called. This was followed by a gleeful chuckle, before she had disappeared, wandering across the rooftop.

"<Yes, it is.>" Kamui agreed, following the Gnome up the rickety ladder and onto the roof. He nimbly moved across the likewise rickety roof. "<This can't be very safe.> Ha!" He called out over the wind and then laughed.

"<It prob'ly isn't! Think there's a hole I covered up somewhere... just don't step on it and you'll be fine!> she called back to him, seeming unaware of the speed at which they were getting soaking wet up there on the windswept roof. Breanna had stopped by now, on the highest point of the rooftop, where she was busy trying to attach a long metal rod to some fixture nearby.

"<Hole. Duly noted>." He said, nodding. As he watched the Gnome, he crouched down on the roof, not all together unlike a monkey. He seemed relatively at ease up off the ground. "<Is there anythin' I can help settin' up>?"
(If they get that thing up in the air, I have a vision of them flying into Ulbrecht.)
