All words drifted to the back of his mind as she tilted his head and leant forward to kiss him, fingers running through her hair. That was enough of a response for him. He shifted a little so that he was sat up properly, one hand trailing down her spine to pull her closer to him, the other working on removing her shirt. There was a momentary pause where he drew back, shrugging out of his shirt and letting it drop onto the bed behind him before he was kissing her again. It wasn't long before he had her shirt off and was shifting her to move her and lay her down on the bed. A few hours? He could help her to forget for a few hours.
Kevay let out a contented sigh as he curled up around Lexie, still scattering the occasional kiss here and there, nuzzling her rather affectionatly. It was dark now, the moon glinting through a gap in the curtains, filling the rooms with an ethereal silver light. The bed was a mess, the pair of them laid in a tangle of blankets, Kevay looking adorably sleepy as he finally let his head rest on her shoulder and closed his eyes.

At first, Lexie had been utterly content to just lie there while Kevay scattered kisses over her neck, smiling faintly as he curled up around her and tilting her head to rest it on top of his as he nuzzled into her shoulder. But the warmth of the situation was quickly fading, and the haziness had cleared from her gaze. As the moonlight played over her skin, tears glittered in her eyes. Oh, God. What had she done? So now her brother was dead, it was her fault and she apparently cared so much that she would jump into bed with Kevay with barely a care in the world? She shifted a little, rubbing her eyes and sighing heavily before sitting up out of his arms, grabbing one of the blankets to cover herself with.
Raking a hand through her hair, she glanced back at him solemnly for a second, before rising to her feet and flitting about to gather her clothes together. "I have to go." she whispered, bathed in moonlight as she passed behind the little screen in the room to hurriedly dress herself. "I can't stay here..." she mumbled, haphazardly throwing things into her bag before slinging it onto her shoulder. She sniffled a little, turning half away from Kevay to rub at her eyes for a moment or so, before taking a deep breath and heading to the door. She paused at the end of the bed for a second or so.
"Don't follow me, please... I just want to go." she shook her head, "I don't want to... I don't want... just stay here." she managed eventually.

Kevay would have been happy to just curl up and go to sleep right then (which was what usually happened in situations like this), but it seemed that Lexie had other ideas. The cupid looked totally bemused as she sat up, looking between her and the empty bed that his arm was now stretched over, as though he was trying to work this out. She was going? No, why would she be going? No-one left him in bed on his own, no-one. She didn't want hugs? It wasn't as though they hadn't slept (in the literal sense) togther before, Hell, he had even slept naked with her before. No, he couldn't work this out, couldn't put the puzzle pieces together to work out just what was happening.
"Lexie?" His eyes mirrored the questioning in his voice, Kevay looking ruffled up as he sat up, a blanket crumpled up in his lap. Woah, wait a second. She looked...upset? And she was leaving? "But...what's wrong?" He questioned, sat up properly now, suddenly feeling pretty self conscious about his lack of clothes, straightening the blanket in his lap as she dressed. She was leaving...now? People didn't leave at this point. Hell, if someone was leaving it was him being chased out of the bedroom by someone's significant other half. Lexie was his best friend...and she was abandoning him there? Fuck, this hadn't been such a good idea after all.
"Please don't go..." He murmured, not moving from where he was sat. He wouldn't follow her if she didn't want him to, but it hurt more than he had realised it would knowing that she didn't want him following her. He dropped his gaze to the bed and away from her, pushing his hand back through his hair. "I'm sorry, Lexie. If you feel liike you have to leave then..." He trailed off and shrugged a little, as though to say that he couldn't stop her.
"Just look after yourself."

"What's wrong...?" she echoed his question, sounding on the verge of tears. "All of it! It's all wrong, this shouldn't have happened. And if it was going to happen then it shouldn't have happened now." she rubbed at her eyes, sighing heavily before reluctantly gazing up at him. "My brother is dead, Kevay. I practically killed him. I killed my brother for you. You think a one night fuck is going to change that?" she tilted her head at him, before pressing her eyes closed and turning away. "You tried, I know you did. But that wasn't the way to go about it, that wasn't right. Not when I couldn't even say yes properly..." she shook her head.
Saying that she wanted to leave when he pleaded for her not to damn near broke her heart, but she couldn't stay. Not for a second longer, not if this was going to happen whenever she had a 'bad day'. Lexie could foresee a lot of bad days in the future... even more now that she was leaving. "I'm sorry too..." she whispered, shaking her head, "I am, I just... I can't stay any more, Kevay. I need some time." she muttered, hugging herself and looking down at her rumpled clothes. Ugh. She attempted a smile as he told her to look after herself. "You too, Kevay. Please. Take care of yourself, okay..." she mumbled, before turning to leave.
There wasn't a sound as she moved out into the corridor, at first. Then the door clicked behind her heavily, the latch falling into place, locking her out of the room. She sighed heavily, frowned to herself, and shuffled off down the corridor, her footsteps echoing off across the floor. As she trailed out of the inn, she gazed up at the window in the room where they'd been staying. Then she turned around and headed away to find a carriage.
