Li'en grinned broadly. "Well, tha'll ma'e 'im 'appeh." He whistled, two fingers in his mouth. A stout man came from the nearby room.
"I'm right here you buffoon, theres no need to whistle."
"Well, we go' a 'ungreh crew membeh fer ya." He said, grinning mischeviously.
The cook gave Kamui a once over. "If he eats quite what you do you'll need more supplies than you sent for."
Li'en shrugged. "Don' worreh 'bout it..."

He looked at the cook and grinned widely, his fangs in clear view, "Lead the way, my good man, we'll take anythin' ya've got prepared..." By 'we', he seemed to mean Sakurako and Yibbles as well as himself.

The cook looked to Kamui, then at Sakurako and Yibbles. "Feedin' animals too am I?"
Li'en shook a finger. "Yer always feedin' animals." He said with a playful grin.
He rolled his eyes and groaned. "Take your humor and go away would you?"
Pouting he responded with, "Bu' I'm hun'rey too..."

"They are more then mere animals, my good man, they are my trusted friends an' companions... ain't that right, guys?" Kamui said, looking at Sakurako and Yibbles fondly. There was something in Kamui's look that went beyond just an enthusiastic pet owner. As if to confirm his statement, Sakurako gave an affirmative bark and Yibbles brushed up against Kamui's leg, almost like a cat would.

"You hold the most strange friends Li'an...first you hire that half-wit as-"
Li'an's expression changed instantly. "Yeh dare call 'im tha'? Ye ung'atefel....'e sa'ed yer life, yeh 'ave no righ' ta say suc' t'ings abou' 'im!" He had snapped this out, eyes narrowed.
The chef silenced immediately and just focused on his cooking. "Pardon Captain...I meant no offense."

"Hmm..." Kamui watched the exchange between Li'an and the chef, but said nothing. 'Hmm... I wonder if he meant Seven?' He wondered to himself. "So... whatcha makin', my good man?" Kamui asked the chef, in an attemt to break the odd silence that followed after his exchange with Li'an.

"Ah, glad you asked!" He jumped on the chance to change the subject. "Stew, a chicken stew with various vegetables.
Li'an was silent, his eyes on the wall, a small frown on his face, his eyes reflecting worry and dislike. He was worried about whre Seven could be, and he didn't take kindly to anyone who made fun of him. He'd have to go in search of him once they were stocked.

"Chicken stew, eh?" He nose twitched, "Mmmm... Smells good! I hope it's almost done 'cuz it's delicious makin' me even hungrier." Kamui looked over at Li'an for a moment with insightful, searching eyes. Suddenly giving him a jovial slap on the back, he grinned, "Don't worry, man! I'll help, we'll find 'im, eh?"

"It ill be done shortly." The man answered, smiling and nodding.
Li'an looked up at him, smiling in return. "T'ank ya, it means a'ot ta meh." He said simply, uncrossing his arms. "'E'll prolleh beh pretteh clsoe ta where we le't 'im..."

"Ah, think nothin' of it, man. Friends help each other, right? 'Sides, I happen ta' be an excellent tracker. Like a supernatural bloodhound I am." He waved his hand airily, talking confidently, almost as if he fully expected to find Seven in time for dinner. He patted his stomach, "So what say after our bellies are full, we gather your crew an' set sail for where ya' last saw 'im?"

"Tha' works fine fer me mate." He grinned broadly. He took a seat at the nearest table, throwing a leg over the bench. "'E'll prolleh beh livid...bu' leas' I wen afteh 'im eh?" The cook placed a bowl in front of him, placing a second, looking to Kamui and nodding as he went back to tend to the soup so it wouldn't get destroyed.

Kamui followed suit, taking a seat as well, "Ah, I'm sure he'll... Ooh!" Whatever it was he was going to say, Kamui seemed to be distracted by the bowl of steaming stew placed in front of him. "Ah...," He sighed, taking in its scent before clapping his hands together and looking up, "Many thanks for this blessing!" Without hesitation or pause he lifted the bowl to his mouth and began to gulp the stew, barely chewing at all. His eyes went wide for a second before he dropped the empty bowl on the table, "Aaagh, my throat! Hot! Scalding! ...Seconds please!"
(Nah, it's cool. I just wasn't sure if he was serving them then, or placing the empty bowls in order to serve them.)

The chef put his hands on his hips, "Did you taste that at all?" He seemed highly offended by the gulping...
Li'en grinned, laughing at him, "Oh aye, ye'll ge' along fine 'ere mate." His eyes sparkled with amusement. Not very many people could gulp down boiling hot stew and then ask for seconds. Maybe that was why he enjoyed his company. He just wasn't like the others, and the monotony was finally broken up.
