ooc;; We're trying to be nice!
bic;; Victor frowned, starting to feel a little suspicious. "Well, I mean, it's an odd coincidence, right?" he said. "This forest is widely known for its tendency to suck up victims and never spit them back out. It's a bit of eerie luck that we should all come together like this."
ooc;; PLOT TWIST? o___o

ooc;; Oh, right. Sorry. Posting... faster than... my mind... can cope with... *brainasplode*
ic;; A sudden wave of paranoia washed over Flick's diminuitive figure, and his eyes flashed left to right in the darkness. Nothing but blackness, and the ghostly outlines of trees and shrubs. The darkness seemed suddenly massive, overpowering, overwhelming. Anything could be out there. Something could be lurking just metres from where he stood and he wouldn't see it - not till it was too late. Flick didn't normally get scared, but when he thought of the stories about the deeper sections of the Aorin Forest, he wrapped his arms around his body and shivered, subconsciously speeding up his pace. He could just see the glimmer of the campsite ahead of them. "You're right," Flick agreed, his eyes still searching the darkness. "Let's get back to the campfire, yeah?" As much as he would have hated to admit it, Flick was longing for the comfort - and light of the flames.
ooc;; PERHAPS. Though, sadly, I don't have any ideas. If you don't, maybe we should just forget about it and blame that fickle mistress Fortune.

ooc;; Hmm... I'm thinkin'... hungry beasts... four lumps of meat gathered around a campfire... Our setting is pretty nice for an attack. BWAHAHAHAH. Other than that, no ideas at ALL. T__T
bic;; Victor noticed Flick's paranoia. The way he was looking around, the way he wrapped his arms around himself, yeah, he knew it well. He hated this forest, but Victoria couldn't seem to keep away from it.
He followed the gnome toward the campfire. But something blocked it out. The light was gone, and when he blinked, it was there again... It was as if a shadow had bolted across their path, in between them and the fire. Victor shook his head, hoping his imagination had mixed with his fear and created an illusion.
ooc;; ZOMG. Creepy shadow. o__o

ooc;; Wow! You're like... am inexhaustible well of posty-ness or something, Chani! Do you ever stop? Also, HAHAHAHA. The phrase "four lumps of meat gathered around a campfire" really cracked me up the first time I read it. An attack would be fun, and it gives Flick time to show off his sad inability to use - well, understand - his own equipment. Valter, Soraelna, Wilson, if you're still here - opinions?
ic;; Flick's eyes followed the path of Victor's. Although as a gnome he naturally had some degree of low light vision [[correct me if I'm wrong, please!]], but he was pretty sure that Victor, having grown up nearby, knew more about the forest. If there was something threatening out there, Victor would have a better chance of spotting it than he would. With his eyes tracing the movement of Victor's, Flick too saw the shadow flit between them and the campfire. He breath caught in his lungs and his knees locked. "Did... did you see that?" he asked, his voice dry.

ooc;; NOOO, the posty-ness will never stop. >=) YESH. Valter, Soraelna, WILSON! REPLY. o___o I'm pretty sure I'm going to PM them or somezeeng.
bic;; Victor really wished Flick hadn't asked that question. "Yeah," he replied, swallowing hard. His hand came to rest on the hilt of his blade, gripping it tightly while the other held the deer on his shoulder. He quickened his pace.
ooc;; If you guys don't post soon, Flick and Victor are going to assume you ran off. T__T

ooc;; Yeah... I'm really brain-dead/exhausted/hysterical from my camping (we literally laughed for hours), so please forgive me for any randomness/crappiness/downright failure in my post. ALSO, PMing the rest of them is probably a good idea. I'm having fun with where this topic is going (not to mention my massive spurt of motivation), and it would sort of be a let down if we had to pretend they didn't exist, wouldn't it...?
ic;; The silence was warm and dark. Flick could feel it wrapping around him like a suffocating cloak of dark velvet, and his throat tightened as he struggled for breath. It accentuated every small sound - the crunch of the leaf litter as they moved, Victor's nervous swallowing... Was that heavy breathing? He looked over at Victor, but the man was still - it didn't look, or sound, like it was coming from him. Was there something else out there, breathing noisily as it watched them in the darkness? Or was it just his imagination? Either way, Flick was worried. He pulled a gun from its holster, his finger trembling on the trigger as he held it to his side. What was wrong with him? He never normally got this scared, even when he knew there was something after him. It was something about the forest, he decided. It thickened, diverted and amplified the fear, making slight nervousness into something terrifying and dangerous. Terrifying and dangerous, like whatever was out there, breathing. "Let's... go," Flick whispered. His voice was barely more than a dry rasp as it rattled out between his teeth.

Victor nodded, stepping closer to the campfire, though his eyes weren't focused on it. He was peering into the darkness around him, waiting for something to jump out while telling himself that he was being paranoid. He ducked under a low branch and light fell onto him. "Hope you're all hungry," he said, turning to face the campfire. ooc;; HURRY! POST!

ooc;; Hrm... As far as I can tell, I think I should wait for the others to post - if they're going to - before I do. What do you think, Chani?

ooc;; We COULD wait for them.
Or I could make an example out of Valter by biting his fingers off. We'll figure out just how good the intimidation factor works. >=D
Of course, I WOULD never DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Because I'M not CRAZY. o____o

ooc;; I think I'll give Valter a few days before posting anyway, if you don't mind. The more people to be preyed upon the better.

((Ha! I'm back! I've an idea for for a plot twistee... maybe the killers of Snow's past could attack...? But THAT would be a little too coincidental, wouldn't it? *thinks* I don't know.))
