ooc;; I have no idea. I guess I could have clicked the "make announcement" button by accident. My apologies, Kamui. I fixed it now.

ooc;; Sure, she sounds fun. Just remember that I plan to continue role playing my sweet Victor/Victoria, so there'll be no Victorian consumption tonight. ^_^

((*sigh* If you insist ^.^ No, don't worry. I think I mentioned somewhere that eating humans is more of a hobby than anything else. Hehe, tradition.))

"Be- be careful!" Lang called anxiously after Victor, before losing sight of him in the dark forest. He let his hand drop and turned towards the other two inhabitants of the clearing, starting to feel apprehensive. The diminutive man on his right had already spoken out sternly against him, and the tailed-woman just didn't feel normal, although she had yet to speak. Perhaps Lang was just unused to being the only human in the group.
He sank down on a stone and started picking at his shoulder awkwardly, occasionaly stealing a glance at one traveller or the other, before he finally spoke. "Erm... why do you have a tail?" Lang asked curiously.

Whisper kept having to repeatedly remind herself that this was not her forest. She'd ignored the smell of wood smoke, staying in her dark, web created shelter. But when she heard a body moving through the trees in dangerous proximity, she didn't dar hope he'd pass her by. And, perhaps, she was tired of solitude for the moment. After hiding the small amount of possessions she carried with her, Whisper concentrated. Insectile legs dissappeared, and terribly long pale hair turned to shirt, coarse fur.
She avoided the hunter, aware that in the magically rich world of Syrunn anomalies among 'normal animals' were oft accepted without too much question. She didn't go towards the fire at first, circling around. Her presence was advertised by the brief noise of a frightened grouse dragged from her ground nest. A cougar, black backed, silver furred, and red eyed, prowled slowly into the fire light, dropping the fat bird a few paces from those gathered there, then sitting a short ways away.

Flick stared at Lang. He was definitely a fascinating creature. The closest Flick generally got to human children was the orphans who picked pockets in the street, and for good reason he avoided those as much as he could. To the gnome traveller, Lang was a fascinating mystery. He was a scrawny thing, with (to Flick's surprise) white hair and misty blue eyes. The second thing Flick noticed, to his amusement, was that the child seemed to be rather nervous. He refused to make eye contact for more than a few seconds at a time with any of his fellow travellers, and picked at his shoulder every so often. It appeared Flick's comment had had more effect than he'd suspected - at least gnome children could take a joke. Flick chuckled quietly. "I was just kidding, you know," he pointed out casually. The chance to see the anxious child's reply was removed, though, by yet another appearance. This time, the interloper was not one of the main races. A sleek cougar prowled aloofly into the clearing, a fat bird in it jaws. It deposited the bird a few paces away and sat. Flick didn't move, but to hold a restraining hand out to the child. His hand went to his pistol (it seemed he'd been doing that this evening). His eyes, however, remained fixed on the animal.

Victor walked. And walked. There were hardly any animals in the forest that were nocturnal. Well, no animals that you would eat. Most nocturnal animals of this forest wanted to eat you. But he would find something, even if he had to kill something in its sleep. He hadn't even gotten a fourth of a mile away from the campsite when an all-too-familiar pain rose in his stomach. He dropped to his knees in the pain, giving only a strangled groan, and wrapped his arms around his midriff, his blade forgotten. He fell onto his side, seeing only a white light due to the crippling pain that had spread to every limb of his body. He somehow kept silent, perhaps it was from experience.
When the pain subsided, Victor was gone. Instead, a woman lied on her side, every muscle in her body flexed. The brown hair with white streaks had changed to black with bright blonde streaks. Her cringing muscles relaxed as the pain left her. She felt slightly dizzy, as was an aftereffect, and didn't know where the hell she was. A forest. She picked up her sword, looking slightly confused. She felt Victor's disgruntled presence in her head.
Victor, she spoke to him telepathically. Where am I? Why should I tell you?! was his angry response. You know I hate it when you just take over without warning. May I remind you that this is MY body? she growled. Where the hell am I? You're in the forest near the place where you used to live, he replied. Here, I'll give you some memories. Victoria felt him transferring the memories from his personality to hers. After he was finished, she sighed. What do I do? she asked, but he was gone. She decided to use his memories and return to the camp, which she began to do. She turned completely and started heading back the way Victor had came, trying to think up an excuse for why she was not Victor. Victor was the good liar, not her, but she had done enough to know the basics.

((Sorry for being gone for so long. School has taken up all of my time.))
Snow smiled warmly at the child, flicking her tail left and right. She sat down across form him, folding her arms in her lap and placing her tail over them. "I am a demon. That's why I have a tail. But I can assure you that I will not cause harm to anyone." Her gaze swept across everyone, making sure to get her point across. Humans and other folk had a tendancy to lie about the demonic race; passing them off as evil creatures, but Snow did her best to fend off all such remarks. She felt a pang in her stomach; her own hunger showing through. "If you don't mind, I think I shall hunt on my own. I'll be back soon." She said standing to her full height. Snow unslung her ashwood longbow from her shoulder, riding the strap of the quiver farther up her shoulder, and took off into the night right before the newcomer neared the camfire. That boy reminds me of my child. I had to get out of there, before I showed my true weakness. She thought, trecking softly through the underbrush and avoiding the vines and low branches in her way.

The cougar watched the gnome and human child, then watched the demon leave. She shook her head, rounded ears flicking as she gave a huff. She leaned foreward, giving the bird a nudge towards them. A peace offering, if you will. Her webs had caught plenty, and she had already eaten well. Shifting from large paw to large paw, she considered how to make her purpose known with shifting form. She had no desire to hold conversation, only to listen and perhaps linger in the warmth of there fire. She mulled the problem over several minutes, then found what might be a solution.
She shifted again, though not to human form. She went fromcougar to eagle, the red hourglass on her belly easily visible as a bird. Then she went from eagle to horse, a dainty, leggy creature, and then back to cougar. See, not a true cat at all, but a shifter. Nothing to be afraid of, right? She turned her head as a woman entered camp, snuffling slightly. She smelled much like the man who had passed too near her temporary web.

Victoria smiled forcibly as she walked into the campsite. "Hello," she said, trying to be polite. "You must be Victor's friends... I'm Victoria, his sister." She didn't know whether to wave, shake hands, or what. Instead, she just sat down in front of the fire. "He had to run."
