Kevay stretched out as he listened to what the carriage driver was saying. "Ahhh, an open air ball? That means that there probably will be fire eaters then, and big performances because they have lots of room." He speculated as he took out his money pouch, counting out a few gold coins and handing them to the carriage driver. He had paid him more than the journey had been worth, though whe he added, "Don't tell anyone where you brought us", it became clear that Kevay was buying his silence, trying to cover his tracks. If that crazy mage had got out of the mansion he didn't want him following him. No thank you, if he never saw that mage again it would be too soon. He waved his goodbye to the carriage driver before turning his gaze to the sky, nodding in agreement with Lexie. "Yeah, no clouds 'cause you can see the stars. I doubt there'll be any rain in the next few days. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed." He agreed before he started walking, still looking up at the sky. "Stars are pretty, don't you think? Like diamonds. I like diamonds. I had diamond cufflinks once, they were nice and sparkly, but I lost 'em." He pouted, people moving out of his way as he headed towards them to avoid being bumped into. He had already attracted quite of attention, a group of noble girls who were probably around Lexie's age giggling as he walked past. The giggle made him look up...well...look down at the girls, giving them one of his most dashing smirks and a wink, making them giggle all over again, each of them turning a bright shade of crimson. Oh, how he loved women. He was only just realising how much he had missed them. It had been...DAYS since he had done any real seducing, he would be losing his touch! "Come on Lexie, we need to find an inn." He called back to the jester, glancing back over his shoulder. "I've not done anything all day and I'm shattered."

The driver only nodded silently to them as he was given the money, taking it without a word and slipping it into his pouch. "Not a word, got it." he winked to Kevay eventually, before shutting up the carriage doors once more and climbing onto his little platform. Lexie gave a light wave as the driver urged his team around, and in little more than a few seconds, he had already circled and disappeared out of the square. "Mm... I like stars." she nodded, turning her attention back to the sky as Kevay spoke, "But I've never had a diamond anything. I had a charm bracelet once with a ruby on it... but the bracelet broke." she shrugged. The little jester seemed rather amused actually that people purposely walked around the Cupid, but maybe she had just gotten far too used to having to dance around people to avoid being crushed.
She looked up at the sound of the giggling, tilting her head a little at the noble girls. Oh, she'd forgotten about that. It was weird, what happened then, and Lexie suddenly felt the urge to do something... not so nice to the girls. It confused even her, because she wasn't an angry or spiteful person by nature, and she had the feeling that the sting of what was almost like jealousy could only have been because of Kevay. She rubbed at the back of her head and frowned ever so slightly, as if thinking to herself. She'd suddenly learned that Kevay was capable of making someone feel an entire range of emotions, some pretty good (as those noble girls were probably finding out) but others... not so nice.
She shook those dark thoughts away as he called her, looking up and still seeming half distracted as she skipped to follow him. The scathing looks from the girls meant nothing to her, and she was ashamed to admit that she even felt a little pang of satisfaction at the glares they were giving her. Just great. "That's a hangover for ya." she smirked up at him at his mentioning of being tired, "You do know how much you drank yesterday, right? I've been waiting for you to collapse suddenly all day." she laughed a little, glancing around and pointing to one of the well lit buildings just across from the fountain. "That one?"

Kevay was pretty much the embodiment of love, and love by it's nature was a range of complex emotions. From that feeling of invincibility and joy that love gave right down to jealous rage's that it could induce. The worst thing was that, most of thhe time, he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew how to push people's buttons. He could wrap a woman around his little finger, only to complety abandon her the next minute. He hadn't, however, meant to do it to Lexie. Luckily for her, he rather liked her, viewing her as more of a friend than a conquest. Yes, it may be fun making her all flustered, but he didn't have any intention of taking it any further than that. She was a friend, and he was going to keep it at that. "I'm not quite sure how much I drank last night, but I am sure that it was . I'm surprised that I haven't just given up and passed out, again." He smirked to her, guessing that she wouldn't be very happy if she had to haul him into an inn again. "I must just be hardcore." He winked to her before heading in the direction of the building that she had pointed out. Yes, that seemed like a good choice. Not too expensive but not somewhere that they risked catching something from the sheets. Plus, if the owner was female then he could always barter them a discount on their room, so that it better suited his budget. A small bell above the door jingled as he walked into the inn, smiling faintly as he looked around. It wasn't anything to elaborate, but it was cosy and clean, and that was all he wanted. He was also glad to see the landlady stood behind the desk, looking over the pair of them carefully, blushing faintly. She was young, so he expected that she was actually the owners daughter, but that didn't make any difference, his charm should still get them a discount. It only took a few charming smiles, well placed compliments and a wink before he paid her for their room, only having to pay for one of them and having bartered so that their meals were thrown into the deal for free. Once he had the key to looked to Lexie to smile, sauntering off in the direction of the stairs, looking faintly pleased with himself.

"Of course you're hardcore, Kevay." Lexie giggled to him as she followed him off towards the inn, "That lovely little rest in the carriage where you didn't have to do anything for hours was nothing to do with it." she winked, skipping through the doors afrer him and looking around. She seemed to like the inn well enough, surveying it with the same curiosity and optimistic attitude that she did with everything else, although she tilted her head at the landlady's blush. See, for some reason that kind of reaction didn't provoke the sting of jealousy that those noble girls had. Perhaps Lexie just didn't like nobles, she didn't know. But she tended to get along with everyone in general, she was a jester, it was practically her job to do that. Oh, she just didn't know anymore.
She actually found Kevay's charming of the landlady to be rather amusing, watching with a light smile on her face as she blushed and flustered about and ended up giving them a room that was far cheaper than even Lexie would have guessed. The Cupid had a reason to look proud of himself as they wandered up the stairs, Lexie smirking at him as she skipped up next to him. "That was terribly sly of you, Kevay." she tutted him and nudged him with a fake sigh of disapproval, "Taking advantage of that girl like that... nevertheless it was pretty damn clever and I'm not going to say anything else about it." she chuckled as they reached the top of the stairs, looking about for their room number and hovering outside it while waiting for him to unlock the door.
"So I guess you're going to be holed up in here all tomorrow with your threads and patterns and making things?" she tilted her head at him, looking rather curious really. She didn't know anything about a tailor's work, and she was interested in just what the process of making a dress and other clothes would be like. "I won't be in the way, will I? I can leave or go and find some work in the city if you need to work by yourself." she offered with a light smile, although the look on her face said she'd much prefer to watch him work and amuse herself.

"I will have you know that sitting around and doing nothing requires an enourmous ammount of energy." He told her with a playful pout before grinning as she called him sly. "I'm just a charming person, Rain. And if people happen to find themselves charmed by me and want to give me free things then it would be rude of me to refuse." He chuckled, thinking better of telling Lexie about all the other presents he had recieved. The diamond cufflinks were an example of one present that an admirer had given him, he had even been given his own horse once. Where did Lexie think he had got all his money from, working? Pshhht, why work when you can get it for free. He would only work if he was really struggling, and for him working included making dresses for the prettiest women in the land.
"Hmmm, it is up to you. I will need to take your measurements, but other than that I won't be very responsive tomorrow." He told her as they reached the room, Kevay unlocking the door and stepping inside. It was a rather large room, two single beds placed at either side of a bay window which looked down onto the square. There was also a large desk tucked into the corner, large enough for Kevay to use while he was sewing, and the pile of paper on the desk would be perfect for sketching his idea's out. There was also a roaring fire in the fire place, keeping the whole room toasty and warm.
He shrugged out of his jacket and hung it on the back of the chair before sitting in it, grabbing the quill and a piece of paper, grinning to himself as he started to draw, leaning over the paper so that Lexie couldn't see what he was drawing. Well, she wasn't allowed to see the dress until she tried it on, that would spoil the surprise. "You're not allowed to look at the dress while I'm working on it. If you try I will blindfold you...and I'm sure that you don't want to blindfolded when you are around me," He paused to glance up at her with a mischevious smirk before looking back down at his paper, continuing to sketch quickly.

"Rude to refuse, huh? Well I'm sure that's one way of thinking about it." she smirked to him and nodded as he opened the door, stepping inside after him. It certainly seemed big enough, Lexie stretching and looking around before going and plopping down on one of the beds and smiling over at him. "I don't mind if you're not very responsive, I'll be able to amuse myself while you work." she assured him with a light shrug, tilting her head as he sank down into the chair. "I won't peek, I promise!" she told him with a giggle, raising an eyebrow at this whole blindfolding business. "I don't know whether to be worried about being blindfolded around you because I won't be able to see your obvious perfection," she winked at him playfully, "Or because you'll DO something to me while I can't see. I wouldn't put it past you." she poked her tongue out.
She seemed to realise as he sat down to draw that, although it was quickly getting dark and the day had long come to an end, he was planning on working opposed to sleeping and relaxing, so she was quiet and left him to it. For a while she flitted about the room, sitting by the warm fire and examining the view from the window, the people walking past and other such things. Then, after taking off her shoes and getting comfortable on the bed, she took to rummaging around in that invisible bag of hers, humming softly to herself as she reminded herself of just what was in it, taking out the mis-matched purse with feathers and bits of glitter and other materials pinned onto it to see how much money she had. Although she soon tired of that, and eventually she hid a yawn behind her hand and left to change, returning shortly after having chosen rather less bright clothes from her bag, with her honey blonde curls loose around her shoulders.
"Mm, night Kevay. Don't stay up too late." she warned him with a smirk before wriggling under the covers of the bed, amusing herself with watching the strange shapes fashioned by the shadows of the flickering lanterns for a while before turning over and curling up to go to sleep. The last day or so had really tired her out, poor Lexie. She hoped Kevay wouldn't go chasing any more strange rumours any time soon.

"You better not peek, or you will going to the ball naked...hmmm...I wonder if that would start a new trend?" He chuckled to himself, not glancing up at her, too engulfed in what he was doing. He knew what outfit he was making for himself, right down to the little details. It was Lexie's outfit that he was planning. He could guess her measurements for now, he would just measure her up before he started cutting the material. "You should be worried about both. I might decide to ravage you while you are worried about not seeing my obvious perfection. I have to say, I like blindfolds." He had that mischevious glimmer in his eyes again as he said that, it was rather clear what he was thinking about.
He wouldn't be up too long, he was already half fished sketching out Lexies outfit, then he would just need to draw his own, and then write a list of what he would need to buy. If he was lucky he would be able to convince the tailor to loan him things like material cutters, tailors chalk and needles. He might even offer to sell his creations to the tailor after they had worn them, that would make up the money he spent making them, and probably with a profit. That was what he usually did, it wasn't as though he would wear the same outfit twice, psht, never. How boring would that be?
"Night Rain, sweet dreams." He smiled to her before falling quiet, dimming the lantern on the desk a little so that she would be able to sleep. It must have been around midnight when he finished with his prepatations, hiding the paper away in the draw on the desk and locking it before tugging his shirt off and throwing it at the chair. He snuffed out the light in the lantern and then clambered into bed, snuggling up under the covers. He had to say, it was odd sleeping alone, but that didn't bother him for long, Kevay soon slipping off into a deep sleep.

"Mm, please don't make me go to the ball naked, Kevay..." Lexie mumbled to him softly, clearly half asleep as she spoke to him since she mumbled something about being ogled by scary nobles before drifting back off. The little jester slept silently, undisturbed throughout the entire night, even nightmares from the mansion in Villefleur not bothering her this time. She guessed it was because they had removed themselves from the dreary place that it wasn't dragging them down all the time now. And they were back in the city; Lexie seemed to have realised by now that neither her nor Kevay were countryside people. They needed the hustle and bustle of a city lifestyle, the people and the noise and the diversity. And for Kevay, of course, the women. Well, Liatris had all of that, and Lexie slipped off to sleep dreaming about masquerades and butterflies.
The sun was already shining brightly through the curtains by the time she woke up, stretching languidly under the covers and smiling happily to herself, rubbing the sleep from her eyes before looking around the dim room. She could faintly hear the buzz of voices below in the city square and the like. It was a comfortingly familiar noise, even though Lexie rarely slept in an inn to hear it, so that was somewhat different. Hiding a yawn behind her hand, she shuffled to sit up, her hair all ruffled up from her sleep, although her oddly coloured eyes were bright and full of energy. Lexie was a morning person; she rose early and slept late, somehow finding the energy to last from such a small amount of sleep.
"Morning." she chirped softly, gently straightening out her loose blonde waves and looking around for Kevay. She'd not be surprised if he was awake already, he'd seemed that excited about the upcoming masquerade ball the day before. But then she'd be equally as nonchalant if he was still asleep, judging on how much of a morning person he'd been when she saw him getting up last. But then, he'd had a hangover that day, so she couldn't really compare it to anything. But she already knew that he'd be busy all day, and although she'd promised not to peek she was still curious about just what he'd be doing.

The change of scenery did wonders for Kevay aswell. Much like Lexie's, his sleep was undisturbed by nightmares, having something else to focus on distracting his thoughts away from the horrific evens of the previous night. It was a blissfully peaceful sleep, and even though it was early when he woke he felt refreshed and ready for the day. He had planned on waking early, wanting to get to find a good tailors as soon as possible. Because of the masquerade he guessed that they all would have a good range of quality materials, but you could never be sure. He wanted to make sure that he got his hands on the perfect fabrics before they ran out. Afterall, his creations couldn't be masterpieces without the right materials.
Lexie was still sleeping as he slipped out of bed, creeping around the room so as not to disturb her. He left his bed in a messy state, blankets all screwed up and strewn across the bed. He dressed swiftly and silently, just finishing buttoning up his shirt when he realised that she had woken up, shooting a good morning smile across the room. He ran his fingers through his hair to comb it back into place, leaning back against the desk as he stretched out. He hadn't been expecting her to be up so early, he had wanted to sneak out before she woke up so that he wouldn't risk her seeing his plans. Blast her! She was a tricksy jester.
"Morning Lexie." He nodded to her, shrugging into his jacket and taking a little key from his trouser pocket, secretivly unlocking the desk draw and swiftly transferring the folded up paper from the draw into a secret pocket in his jacket, glancing over his shouler at Lexie suspiciously as he did this. Ha! She hadn't seen. He was amazingly secretive. He should be emploed as a spy, nevermind a tailor. "I'm just heading out to buy stuff. You want me to leave you any money for breakfast or anything? You can even get something for me for when I get back?" He suggested, taking a few coins from his money pouch before flicking them gracefully across the room to her.

She smiled cheerfully as he flicked the coins at her, examining them in her hands for a moment before smirking over at him, having noticed the flash of the key in his hands and how he looked so surprisingly shifty. "I'm not gonna look at anything, Kevay, I promise." she assured him, raising a hand to put a cross over her heart as if to prove that he could trust her. "Seeing what it looks like before you make it and show it to me would be cheating ayway, and it would wreck the surprise. Why would I want to do something like that?" she flashed him a grin. "You go ahead and buy stuff, I'll get breakfast and make myself look a little more alive." she chuckled, stretching mightily and slipping from the bed, shaking her honey blonde curls from her face. "Have fun, don't get into too much trouble now." she winked to him and skipped, barefoot, out of the door to let him get on with whatever he was doing.
Lexie spent the first half an hour or so of being awake having the inn-keeper draw up a bath for her to make herself more presentable, seeming much happier and cleaner afterwards. She hadn't put her jester clothes back on for today, not planning to go anywhere to perform and therefore seeing no point. Although she did wind a few ribbons through her hair with tiny golden bells attached, so she still tinkled pleasantly when she walked everywhere. Afterwards she did as Kevay had told her and got them both breakfast. She decided that she liked this inn, with its crackling fires and merry attitude, even waving happily to the shy landlady they'd seen the evening before as she skipped back up the stairs to their room, seeming unsurprised to find it clean and ready for them, the curtains open, the beds made and the shutters pushed out so that the sunshine beamed into the room.
Ahh, they'd been right! Summer was setting in, and the sky was wonderfully blue, with not a drop of rain in sight! Lexie had skipped over to the window to lean out to see, the soft breeze blowing her loose curls away from her face (she had taken the time to sit in front of the fire for a while after her bath, to get rid of most of the dampness from her hair). Soon enough their breakfast arrived, and the little jester chirped her thank you to the rather dismayed looking landlady. She looked so disappointed that Lexie had to tell her that Kevay had only gone out for a few minutes and he'd be returning soon enough, so she didn't have to look sad like that. At this the young girl blushed furiously and nodded, before leaving, Lexie giggling without being able to help it. It wasn't often that SHE made people blush, albeit that it was because of Kevay. His charm affected people even when he wasn't there, damn it!

"Peeking would spoil the surprise and mean that you have to go to the ball naked. It might not rain, but I think that you might get a little bit cold without any clothes." He smirked at her, that mischevious glimmer in his eyes telling that he really would make her go to the ball without clothes on if she peeked. He would even make her close her eyes as he fitted the dress to her, or blindfold her as he had threatened her earlier. He wanted the dress to be a surprise, a sort of thank you for her help and for not just running off at the sight of the...thing. He didn't want to think about that, but he did want to thank her. Afterall, if it wasn't for Lexie he wouldn't be around now.
"Awweh, you're beautiful already Lexie." He grinned to her as he swept towards the door, ruffling her hair up affectionatly. "Trouble? Me? Don't know what you are talking about. I will try my best though." He winked to her before he left the room, striding down the stairs and out of the inn, after calling 'Good Morning Sweetheart' to the young inn keeper's daughter and making her blush furiously. Ah, life was good again, wasn't it. He had a masqerade ball to look forward to, he had found himself a good friend and the town had beautiful women! What more could he ask for?
It didn't take long for him to find a quality tailors, though unfortunatly for him the owner was male. Oh well, no discounts for him here. He spent hours trawling through the matieral, consulting his notes, testing the textures and putting scraps of the materials together to see how the colours blended. He spent a good portion of his money there, and a little more renting the equipment that he needed.
He returned to the inn an hour or so before midday, carrying a bundle of large packages which were wrapped in brown paper. He had an excitable glimmer in his eyes, practially skipping along, humming to himself. He had a charming smile and a wink for pretty much every female that walked pasted him, old and young. He bounded up the stairs and burst into the room, moving to drop his packages on the desk before looking around for Lexie. "I'm back. I got everthing! Can you believe it? Everything, in one shop. Would you mind running back there later though if I run out of beads? I'm not sure that I bought enough...I do like beads..." He rambled as he began to unwrap his packages, suddenly pausing and looking at her suspiciously. "Oh...you can't look. Lemme measure you then you can go out or I can blindfold you, okay?"

By the time Kevay returned from the tailor's Lexie was sprawled on the floor of the room, not having wanted to lie on the bed after someone had just made it, that would be rude. She seemed to be amusing herself right now though, all manner of colourful strands of light curling around her. The little jester got easily bored when left alone for too long, she was a socialite by nature, and had been forced to entertain herself until Kevay returned. The strands of light were obviously illusions, albeit very well thought out ones, weaving through the air like vibrant ribbons in all varieties of colours, winding together and making random shapes through the air. Lexie would flick her wrist every now and then and a new colour would join them, eventually an inticrate structure of a star forming. That was when Kevay spoke to her however, and the illusion vanished in a few wisps of colourful smoke, her concentration having broken.
"Mm...? All from ONE shop?" she tilted her head at him, swiftly sitting up and looking at all of the parcels. "Gee, Kevay, you must have bought that tailor's out of house and home. Even more so if you got that discount that you wanted." she winked to him and scrambled to her feet, brushing off her clothes and nodding cheerfully. "Of course! If you need anything just ask and I'll run and get it for you!" she saluted him with a lighthearted chuckle, looking rather interested in whatever was in the parcels when he threw her that suspicious look, throwing him an innocent one in return and smiling hopefully. "Awh, and I was hoping I could see your most secret of secret plans." she sighed and shook her head, rolling her eyes. "I guess I'll have to wait."
She pouted and pretended to look disappointed before looking up again at his request to measure her, promptly standing up straight and spreading her arms out for him, grinning brightly. "Go ahead, then you can get to your secret masquerade-clothes-making plans!" she nodded to him, "I think I'll go and wander around the square for a little while. I'll be by the fountain if you need me to get you anything though, so just yell me if you need to call me. But don't fall out of the window, please." she looked at him seriously for a second then, as though he was likely to do something stupid like that in his current frame of mind, although there was an admittedly playful glint in her eyes.

Kevay had arched an eyebrow as he entered the room to find Lexie and her colourful illusion. He was actually glad that he had broken her concentration, otherwise he would probably have become mesmerized by the dancing ribbons of colour if she had kept the illusion up; colour was his current obsession, and her laying there surrounded by a rainbow would have made it impossible for him to concentrate on his project. "That was pretty, Rain." He complimented with a smile, brushing his hair back from his face. He would have to convince her to do that again sometime so that he could sit and be amazed by all of the colours and shapes. He could save that for a rainy day, when they were stuck inside somewhere and bored out of thei minds, he was sure that he would be able to persuade her to show him that trick again.
"Alas, I didn't get a discount." He told her with a heavy sigh. "The owner was male. Unfortunatly men don't seem effected by my charm, not that I didn't try..." He smirked to himself before shaking his head and turning to rummage around through his parcels until he found the tape measure that he had loaned, unraveling as he picked up some more paper and his quill and moved over to her. "Okay, try and keep still. I won't take long." He assured her as he started to take measurements and jot them down. He measured her arms, her legs, her waist, her bust, everything! Well, if the dress was going to fit properly he needed to know her exact measurements. This dress was going to fit like a glove when he was done with it!
He nodded absently as she told him where she would be, straightening up with his paper and tape measure. "Alright then. Don't get into trouble...and I will try not to fall out of the window when I yell you." He smirked to her briefly before turning and returning to the desk, looking thoughtful now. "Oh, and can you knock before you come in? Just so that I can hide everything before you come in?" He asked, smiling to her innocently. "We don't want to spoilt the surprise now, do we? And I don't have enough time to think of a whole new idea and start over, so if you see I really am making you go naked." He winked.

The only problem was that if there was anything that Lexie was terrible at, it was standing or sitting or keeping still in general. She was giggling all the way through Kevay measuring her, which meant it took twice as long. She couldn't help it if she was ticklish and in a general giggly mood since Kevay had come back anyway. It was sunny and warm and she had been rather bored since he'd left for the tailor's even if she had been amusing herself. And then there was the general giddy feeling that she got whenever he came into the room, that she just felt she had gotten used to when he left and returned again and then she was right back to square one! "Get into trouble? Me, an innocent jester?" she gasped in mock surprise when he was finished measuring her, shaking her head and throwing him her most innocent of smiles.
"I'd not get into any trouble worse than what you get into." she told him with a nod, unable to resist a laugh - she might as well have told him that she'd purposely TRY to get into trouble. "And I promise I'll knock before I come in because going to the ball naked is getting less and less enticing, trust me." she murmured to him as she skipped to the door. "Buhbai Kevay, have fun with your dress-making, and leave that poor landlady alone okay? If you seduce her I'll know!" With that little warning she skipped off, clicking the door behind her and humming to herself as she wandered down the stairs, throwing a cheerful hello to anyone who merely looked at her. She didn't know why she (or Kevay) was in such a good mood all of a sudden. Just a day or so before the situation had been so bad she didn't think there was a way out of it.
Perhaps this cheerfulness was a way for them to cope - they had to smile and distract themselves or else something awful would undoubtedly happen. She thought this would be especially true for Kevay, more than for her anyway.
Nonetheless, Lexie spent her day meandering around the fountains, giving little performances with her illusions to make the water change colour and put imaginary mermaids and other mythical sea monsters into the spray of the fountains to entertain the children. She enthralled them with her stories, her dancing, her riddles and jokes; even not dressed to perform she somehow found a way to manage it, didn't she? By the time the sun was beginning to sink below the horizon, she was sat upon the low wall around the fountain, telling yet another story to the children about how the sun was actually pulled across the sky by a great golden god in a chariot, with magnificent stallions shaped like the very clouds themselves.

"Innocent jester, you?" He smirked at her and shook his head. "You don't fool me Lexie!" He joked and laughed to himself, half paying attention to her and half working out the measurements for the pieces of the dress that he would need to cut. Fitting her into the dress would be fun if she wriggled about like that, he would poke her with the pins a million times. He would just have to come up with a way of making her stay still, he was sure that he could do that. Either that or he would have to fit her into the dress while she was sleeping, or something equally as difficult. He had worked with people who couldn't stand still before, he had his methods of keeping them still while he did what he needed to.
"Trouble worse than I get into? Psht, can't get any worse than my kind of trouble." He grinned to her, leaning back against the desk now as he waited for her to go. He couldn't put his secret plan into action until she was gone. "Goodbye Rain...and...WAIT!" He flailed at her suddenly. "But the landlady is pretty! What am I supposed to do when I take a break other than seducing her? I promise I'll only seduce her a little bit." He pouted at Lexie like a child, huffing at her. Ha, he would show her! No-one could warn him off a woman. In fact, the more people warned him away from someone the more he would try to seduce them, he was determined like that. By the time Lexie got back he would have her dress almost finished AND have seduced the pants of the landlady! It was his mission.
As soon as Lexie left he unpacked all of his parcels and got to work. He made sure that the floor was clean before spreading his material out, placing his patterns on the material, pinning them into place and starting to cut. It would be easier if he had a real tailors space with huge big tables and even lighting and a stash of everything that he could possibly need. The inn room would do though, it was big enough and as long as he was organised it would work. By midday he already had the basic shape of the dress sewn, making adjustments here and there to improve and alter his design. In his lunch break he achieved his other objective, spending around an hour wooing and generally seducing the landlady, before returning to his work.
He spent most of the rest of the day sewing, breaking off for a while to let his fingers rest and to cut out the pieces for his own outfit. As darkness began to fall he tidied all his things away in preparation for Lexie's return, sat on the edge of the bed with a strip of material in his hand. As soon as she knocked he sprang to his feet, moving over to open the door. "Hiiiii Lexie. Take your clothes off." He smiled to her as soon as he spotted her, taking a step back to allow her into the room. "I promise that I won't look...well...that's a lie...I will look because I need to put the dress on you." He smirked to her charmingly. "I need to check that it fits, and see how it hangs. You don't mind playing dress up for me, do you?" He asked, his tone silkey soft, making it clear that he wouldn't take no for an answer.
