Even Roslyn, for all of her emotionless façades, couldn't help but smile at the warmth of the shop, the wonderful aromas that filled the air and made her forget about the cold of the rain outside. She followed Kamui quietly as he moved to sit down, not objecting as he ordered the specials. She wasn't particularly hungry, but the warm food would help to stop her shivering. She seated herself opposite Kamui, straightening out her dress around her and looking interested as he began to speak, amber eyes lighting up as she listened.
"A soul?" she tilted her head, nodding faintly as he explained. That she actually had a soul worth losing was good to know; Roslyn had been under the impression that all things touched by something demonic, even if one was only half demon, would be soulless. "That's... good," she nodded faintly. "But... what happens to a demon when it is slain? If you and I have a soul, I assume something happens to it when we die. But if no soul is released... what happens then?" she lifted an eyebrow, though interest returned to her expression as Kamui continued.
She followed his tail with her eyes as it swept back and forth, looking ever so slightly amused. "I suppose that's why I haven't got blue eyes like my mother?" she assumed, though she found herself looking around to see if she had missed any other odd traits about herself that would point to what kind of a demon her father had been. Disappointed, she settled back into her former polite posture. "So you're part monkey, at least?" she guessed, tilting her head and blinking in confusion as he mentioned that she could have an increased life-span, but by then their meals had arrived.
"I think I understand a little better," she told him quietly as she passed the old man a coin of her own and accepted the noodles, eating them listlessly with the chopsticks and seeming much more interested in what she had been told than the meal.
((Whoo, go Kamui! And OoOo, cool!))
