Life as a lady was suffocating. Stand up straight and wear this and think this and look pretty and no; just no. Her father would be furious at her for leaving the ball, but she was sure that her disappearance was preferable to her burning the whole place to the ground. Her satin slippers were abandoned on the river bank along with her shawl, the hem of her dress already soaked and muddy. She looked quite a sight hopping from one stepping stone to the other across the lazy river wearing a beaded ball gown which sparkled in the moonlight. Ivory was her colour of choice for the night, the back dipping in a low V shape which left her flesh exposed, an illusion held in place to hide her scars.
“Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight…” She sang to herself softly as she danced, flicking the water with her toe before yelping and shivering, cherry red flames flickering around her for a moment. Brrrr, the water was cold. Tendrils of hair fell into her eyes as she glared down at the water, hissing and holding herself on her tiptoes to escape it. Suddenly her game had lost its sparkle and her bare feet were damp and cold, the girl pouting to herself as she looked one way and then the other, realising that she was stood in the centre with no easy way back to either shore.
“Well, Etoile, you do get yourself into some strange predicaments.” She mumbled to herself, biting her lip as she tried to decide which path would be the easiest, and the driest.

The sound of metal echoed on the ground every time he put his foot down, despite that he was wearing leather boots. His cape grabbed and carried small stones a way with him as he strolled down the riverbank. A foul stench of liquor was about him and sure enough in his left hand he held a squlping black bottle. A feather, neatly placed in a big red had was waving to the rhythm of the wind. He was not exactly walking in a straight line and more than once he stopped to admire the scenery and curse out something hidden from sight.
His long black hair was messy and he was pretty unshaven. He looked like someone who had just been to a big party and partied himself to oblivion. As he almost fell over a pair of slippers left out for anyone to fall over he cursed loudly and looked a bit flustered as he looked around for the perpetrator.
He blinked a few times as he saw the young lady "Well I'll be damned.. A water nymph?"

The stench of alcohol carried on the breeze and warned of the man’s approach. Add that to the racket he was making and he was impossible to miss. At least no-one had tried to sneak up on her. By the time he stumbled into view she had turned on her stepping stone to face him, holding her skips up a little to stop them from drooping into the water. She tilted her head to one side as he spoke, arching an eyebrow before she laughed and shook her head, a glimmer of mischief in her eyes.
“Looks like you caught me.” She called across the water, deciding not to point out his mistake. Etoile was far from a water nymph, but he didn’t need to know that. “You must be very smart to discover a water nymph. I hear they are painfully shy.” She flashed him a smile as she gracefully hopped across the stones, pausing again a few steps away from the bank, tilting her head at him again curiously.
“What are you drinking?”

He freed himself from the slippers with some trouble, almost falling in the process and send her a grin. "Well I'm surely a smart one indeed... " He said with a little laughter. He shook the bottle a little and looked thoughtful for a second "Uhm.. Sailor's last wish I think he said it was called. Basicly a mixup of everything good" Romano took a few steps toward the bank, his boots touching the water. He flinged his cape back to free his arm and held out a hand towards the nymph. His hand was adorned with several different rings of every shape size and metal type. Some had gemstones, others were blank. His hand looked clean despite his smell.

“A mix up of everything good? Sounds pretty lethal. I am impressed that you are still standing.” She laughed, keeping her distance as she watched him sway; there was no way she was letting him fall and drag her into the water with him. She watched his hand for a moment before reaching out to take it lightly, taking a step towards him.
“I don’t know what that stuff tastes like, but it stinks. I think you need a bath.” There was a glimmer of mischief in her eyes before she pulled on his hand, hauling him into the water with one strong tug. She stepped around him onto the bank to avoid being splashed too, liberating the bottle from his hand so that it didn’t end up in the river too. “Maybe you should drink a little of that while you’re in there. Trust me, you’ll thank me when you can stand up straight.” She winked, laughing as she padded up the bank to retrieve her slippers.

As he was tugged into the cold water he gave a shocked gasp, "My my.. Water nymphs are stronger than I anticipated" He said with annoyance in his voice. He raised an eyebrow and picked up his hat that were floating right next to him "mayb you should take a sip of that" he nodded in the direction of the bottle she was holding "It might make you see things in my light". He stood up, water rushing out of his pants and shirt "Nine hells, you're gonna make me sick woman!". He crawled patheticly up onto the bank again, looking like a drowned cat, his clothes drenched. On his skin, tiny goosebumps had emerged and he was beginning to shiver slightly.

Etoile arched an eyebrow down at the bottle as he suggested she try it, considering it for a moment before shrugging and taking a sip. “Empty night!” She cursed and coughed, laughing as the liquid burnt all the way down to her stomach. “How are you not blind from drinking this?” She tilted her head down at him as he crawled out of the water and up the bank, rolling her eyes as he complained.
“Perhaps a sip of this will warm you up?” She suggested, crouching down to offer the bottle back to him. “Or, well, I could do this.” Cherry red flames erupted around him, the heat intense for a moment before they disappeared as quickly as they had arrived. The man wouldn’t have been touched by the fire other than having been dried off, Etoile flashing him an innocent smile before she rose back to her feet properly. “Now you won’t get sick.”
