Syrunn is home to a great variety of sapient beings. Among them, there are seven known as the " common races": Humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes, half-elves, half-orcs, and halflings. These races generally have lands of their own (except half-elves, half-orcs, and halflings), and (especially humans and halflings) are generally widespread on Syrunn. The common races make up the majority of "civilized" populations, which is reflected in the racial demographic entries of the World Statistics. Yet as stated above, there many different lifeforms which inhabit Syrunn, and members are not limited to the common races when creating a character. Demons, Angels, Dragons, Anthros, Ogres, Giants, etc. Almost any established fantasy or mythological being is acceptable on Syrunn, with the exception of mindless or extremely unintelligent beings (i.e. a sea slug or your garden variety zombie; but that being said, an awakened creature could make for an interesting character). More information on a wide variety of fictional creatures can be found here. Assuming they are reasonably developed, original races are not out of the question either.
