|Hiya!|
Demi had laughed amiably with Sage, and said, "Well, at least I can make you laugh a bit. That's progress." At Li'an's voice, Demi shifted the brunt of his attention to the pirate captain, and sighed. "Ye don't listen well, do ye Cap?" he asked, in a plausible imitation of Li'an's voice. "Nah like me. Ye crewmates 'ave loose tongues when they're drunk." he said, his hand baring another dagger with an extra long blade.
This was one of his newer inventions, made after his discovery of magic. With a wave, the dagger split into several metal sections, connected by a cord running through the center. The metallic whip's tip just barely touched the ground, and Demi looked back up at Li'an with a hidden smirk. "Now, firs' off, I 'ready said I'm on yeh side. Secon', it's assassin, no' bounty 'unter, and third, I prefer adventurer to exhile' thank ye kindly."

" Touch him and you die" Sage said her eyes flashing gold again. She flashed her silver dagger as her body became tense.

Li'an sneered. "My c'ew mates are qui'er than ye thin'." The pirates who had fallen 'asleep' all around were now on their feet. "Na one threatens me, w'ether ye on meh 'ide or no'." He had pulled his sword, the elvish trailing the beatutiful black blade. "I dinna 'ave a 'ounty fer na reason love." He was not liking this 'assassin. "Don' star' a figh' ye can' finish."

Demi sighed again. "And here I was thinking I was making progress." He spun his dagger twice, the whip edge making a wide cutting circle, and then squeezed the hilt, feeling the satisfying click as the metal pieces reformed themselves into one dagger. "Is it wise to make an enemy of an assassin, Li'an? In a one on one fight, we both know you'd lose." He checked the door in the reflection of an empty tankard, and saw it was guarded. " Now, I've promised that I wouldn't lay a finger on any of you three tonight." Demi said, putting his hands behind his back and out of view. "But that doesn't account for your crew mates. If their lives mean anything to you, move them away from the door. You got one thing right, I don't pick a fight I can't win."

Sage had enough of this. Eyes closing, cloths became fur as did skin. The only thing that didn't change into a wolf was her cloak, it clicked off and fell to the ground. Long silver point teeth shone in the dim lamp light. Black fur bristled as Golden eyes still had hints of turquoise in them. The wolf was 4 feet and 4.2 inches, when standing on her hind legs she was 6 feet. She growled a warning as her ears pinned to her head and lips pulled back.

Li'an's eyes were flashing dangerously. "I don' li'e yer type...yer the kin' o' person 'ho gets us pi'ates killed...Ya thin' ya kin ge' ou' o' 'ere so easileh?" He had taken a fighting stance. "I don't thin' ya 'hould unnerestimate us." He took a quick look at his crew. "An' I don' thin' my mates are verry willin' ta let ya leave...if ye were no' a enemeh...then why start an'ting a'tall?" His eyes never left him. "I 'ave a deep distrust of you an' yer type...an' if'n ya don' wan' ta die I wouldn' make idle threats. Yer outnumbered 'ere."
"Cap'in!" A man, one of those that had been sent back. "So'lers ca'in!" He said in badly broken common.
"Soldiers?" Li'an turned his attention from Demi. He then looked back at him. "Friend's o' yers?" he snorted, then sheathed his sword. "All who's comin' abard get aboard! We're off now!" The pirates scurried from the room.
Li'an looked to Sage, "Ye comin' love?"

Sage looked at him and did a wolfish smile." For sure!" She barked, picking up her cloak in her mouth, she raced across the room and jumping threw the window. The glass shattered and some got caught in her coat but did no damage but for a few cuts. Looking over her shoulder she could see the soldiers, shivering she growled as her tail flicked aggressively.

"Friends of mine?" Demi asked, looking highly offended. All the cunning and treachery seemed to fall from his face, leaving nothing more than an angry-looking child standing there. Then, this facade broke into a grin as he spotted a situation that could work in his favor, if the Captain trusted him. He'd have to work fast. "Hey, Captain, I'll head them off." he said, holding up his right hand. "Thief's oath." he added, slicing a small cut across his finger with one of his daggers. "Give me five minutes, and I'll make ye fifty bodies." he boasted, crossing towards the door.

"I don' trust you child." Li'an said, not sparring a glance at him. "I been betrayed once ta many ta expect the truth an'more." His eyes slipped to him briefly. "Ya nee' ta earn trust kid...it's nah given freeleh." He then left the building, bellowing orders to the crew that was scurrying over the rails now. He grabbed a hold, slipping aboard. "Move 'aster bildg'rates if'n ya don' wanna swing!"

Sage looked behind her then ran at the ship, her hollow bones making her fly as she jumped. Land on the side her paw were just on the rail, she pulled herself up and aboard as she shake her black coat. Sage closed her eyes and she was normal, replacing her cloak she watched the solider come closer. " Enough of this!" She growled. She then sat down as her nee gave out " Danm"

"Earn trust eh? What do you think I'm trying to do?" Demi shouted after him, and shook his head. "Theives code doesn't apply to pirates... why don't they tell me these things?" he asked himself, forgetting that Kamui was in the room. With a shake of his head, he dashed out, his hands roaming through his belt.
"Soldiers of Tyris! Forward! Today is the day we capture the scum that is the Devil's Tooth and her crew!" shouted the soldier's leader, as his group marched on. He smirked triumphantly, those pirates had it coming for them, and with a army of 70 men, they had more than enough to take out a ragtag gang of pirates. "And this might land me a promotion." he mumbled silently to himself as he directed his lance-wielding troops onto the stretch of harbor, with the ships and the sea on his right, and the inn on his left. "They're in retreat!" he called, watching the crew scramble like monkeys over the ropes, and even catching a glimpse of what seemed to be a wolf, but then became a woman the next second. Suddenly, his attention was caught by a flash of smoke several feet from in front of them. Coughing and waving his hands, he and his men were greeted by a man dressed in purple, with one glowing reddish eye, looking almost like a demon. This impression was heightened by the first words that came out of the apparition's mouth. "I'm Demi, the Nightmare Shadow. If you do not want to die, you will turn tail and leave now." Taken back for a moment, the leader of the soldiers started to laugh. "One man taking out 70? That's unheard o- Urk!"
"Who's next?" Demi challenged, his hands armed with several small throwing daggers, one of which had lodged itself in the soldier leaders throat, silencing him forever. He assessed the situation even as he played his half-bluff. It would be bad if the soldier's rushed him, even though the width of the harbor would limit the fighting to 6 against 1. The safest bet would be to scare them off, as Demi let loose two more deadly daggers, finding their targets in the soldier's vital points. "This good enough for ya Captain?" Demi growled, his gaze still fixed on the faltering soldiers. Then, an ambitious soldier in the back shouted, "He's only one man! Charge!" and he tensed, ready to fight for his life.

Li'an was watching Demi, critical eyes catching the soldiers and wondering, briefly. " 'Old her steady mates!" He jumped off te boat and came beside Demi. "Yer a fool ya know." he managed, slicing out as the first soldier came close. "A dammed fool and maybe jus' righ' ta beh a pirate." He said, looking bacl over to him.

"A damned fool? Prob'ly worse than that mate." Demi said cheerfully, spinning and gutting a soldier in the stomach with a dagger, and tossing two into the throats of four men that'd run ahead of the pack. "Cap'n, if ye've got axes and axemen on your ship, toss 'em down here. An axe can outpower a lance better than a sword or a dagger, they've got the reach on you." he shouted, even as he ducked underneath the two other mens' lance shafts, stabbing them rapidly three times each and straightening up in time to dodge a javelin thrown where his hand had been a second ago.

"Aye." Li'an managed after ducking a stab to the head. He called up, "Oi! Ge' yer asses down 'ere Fellman, Plete." Two men stumbled about then they jumped down into the fray. "So kid, ya in'rested in droppin' bein' a 'sassin eh?" He asked.

"Oh, an Assassin's only one of my trades." Demi said, unsheathing the dagger hidden in his sleeve and pressing the button on the end, so that it split into two weapons. He rolled into a gaggle of three men and straightened, spinning rapidly and slicing fatal wounds into their bodies as he rose. "I'm a thief, spy, smuggler, It'd be fun to add a pirate into my li- ouch!" he winced slightly. He'd mistimed a dodge, and paid for it by having a spear slice his shoulder. Demi retaliated by ripping in a straight line across the offender's body, stabbing into the heart. "Do you think we can win this Cap'n or do we beat a hasty retreat?" Demi asked as blood slid from his wound. There were still fourty or so soldiers left in the fight.
