Cael growled. He put away the knives begrudgingly and pulled out another Wall of Force scroll. "I can't create a wall underneath us. The constant contact would destroy you. I can make one above us, and then make a Wall of Iron under us instead. I do agree though. Sleep would really help... I need to recharge my spells anyway... He climbed upstairs and up again into his bedroom. Following the illusion, the room looked a bit like a log cabin, albeit for the furniture, which now looked extremely out of place.

Valter catnapped; while he was really asleep, his senses would alert him to any danger, and prompt him to wake up instantly. He had nothing to fear from Rabbit yet, but when the job was done... Ah Cael, what a simplistic fool. He's had a soft and cushy life, that's for sure. Valter thought bitterly, before drifting off to sleep.
It might have been kinder to say being thrown headfirst into a nightmare. Valter's dreams were never good. Every night, he'd go back to that cursed night on the Basque plains, and recall the dull, fierce faces of his former friends. Every night, he'd remember how everyone he'd ever loved had betrayed him. And gloatingly, the face of that white priest would float before him, just there, ever out of reach. "Soon..." Valter hissed menacingly in his sleep.

Rabbit slept quietly, if he slept at all. He flitted through dozes, body terribly still, and yet every now and then one would find him with his eyes open, staring into something far beyond the invisible walls of the tower, something no one else saw. He heard Valter speak in his sleep and shifted just enough to glance wearily over his shoulder before deciding that it was nothing to be worried about. All the same, his fingers curled around the handle of one of his favorite knives as he drifted back into the dreamless doze he ws prone to.
In the pale grey sreaks of pre dawn he was up, moving in near silence. Comfortable with the fact that he probablly had a little while before the others woke up. He stripped off the loose outer clothing he'd worn. echanging the shirt for something of dark grey fabric tailored to his torso and sleeveless. The matching shorts he'd been wearing already, to prevent one of the sheathes from chafing. Brushing his hair out of his eyes, he set about the occassionally tedious process of arming himself.

Voices drifted in and out of Cael's head as he slept. We must feed soon... He turned in his sleep. The boy is too young... He muttered something uncomprehensible. Bah. By his race's standards, he is an adult. He tossed around. Child of our brood... Awaken! Cael tilted out of his bed. Just before he hit the ground, his eyes shot open, now mere pools of molten silver. He twisted in mid-air and landed with his limbs spread out, like a spider, or a lizard. The effect would have been comical, if it hadn't been for what happened next. Originating from his new eyes, a wave of silver spread across his body. His skin began to turn rough and scaly. His hands and legs turned to claws, two large wings burst from his back, along with a tail from his tailbone. He began to grow expodentially, and his elarged form smashed through the roof. His clothes ripped and his neck elongated. A minute later, Cael had turned into a full Silver Dragon,

Valter's eyes opened slightly as soon as he felt motion from Wilson, although he didn't move an inch, preferring to "sleep" a little longer. That was, until a massive crash shattered the pre-morning peace. "What the hell was that?" Valter snarled, eyes flashing open. His hands flew to his sword and his wings spread out, even as his eyes darted across the scene. There was Rabbit, with various bits and pieces of weaponry scattered around him. Through the walls, a peaceful looking country side.
Then, Valter looked behind him, and swore violently. On the opposite side of the wall hung a massive silver tail, bigger than he was. He took a step back, and gripped his sword angrily. "It's never easy, is it?" Valter fumed. "Then again, he did say he wasn't human. Maybe I should've listened. I'm heading out. If he crushes the tower while we're in it, it's over." Valter spat, tapping his sword along the invisible wall of the tower in order to find the entrance.

Rabbit was on his feet in an instant at the noise, glancing at Valter briefly before returning his gaze to the dragon. He was fairly bristling with weapons, and he already had a throwing knives in his hand. He sliped them back into place quickly, aware that unless he got a lucky shot at a vulnerable spot, they'd be useless. He hoisted his packs onto his shoulder and gave a whistle. Horse was already there though, legs braces as Rabbit slung the packs on. The whites of his eyes showed that the piebald miniature horse was not happy to be in the proximity of the predator.
Hauling Horse by the halter, Rabbit gave Valter a brief nod as they head for the door. "I am not getting paid enough to play with dragons. It's a hazard. This is why I don't work in groups." He complained.

Dragon Cael roared, shaking the ground. People began pouring out of their noises to find the source of the commotion. Armed guards were already firing crossbows at him. With another bellow, he flapped his wings and swept his tail, knocking Valter and Rabbit onto his back with it. (Non-intentionally, of course.) He flapped his wings again and rose into the air. Within seconds, he was high in the sky. The remainder of his tower collapsed below. He bent his long neck to look at the guards, took a deep breath, and blew forked lightning at them. They were instantly turned into a chainmail buffet, which D-Cael indulged himself with, gulping a few down. As he turned to fly away, blood was clearly visible as it bled from him.

"Well, so much for remaining inconspicous." Valter grumbled, as a retinue of armed guards swarmed out of Xynd, firing powerful, yet futile crossbow shots. Just as he was about to take off, a scaly wall swept in from his left side. "Grah!" Valter roared in pain, as he was tossed roughly into the air. He flung out his free hand as he descended and caught scaly hide, violently shoving his way onto the dragon's back.
He blinked, trying to wipe the red flash from his eyes, and noticed two things. One, Rabbit had found a similar mount, and two, they were now several stories high up in the sky. "Heh, I bet you're certainly not getting paid enough to perform some dragon riding, huh?" Valter shouted, his words being whipped from his mouth by the wind. He glanced darkly at the ratty, tattered shreds of his right wing tip, and his sword ignited briefly, imprinting a neon line into the sky. "Cael here is certainly going to pay though. He's going to pay for this."

Horse, franly, had enough sense to get the hell out of the way. None of the armed guqard paid attention to the fleeing piebald horse. Rabbit sent a fleeting blessing after him to run swift, even as he smothered a yelp, the heavy tail bashing into him, shoving the hilts of his weapons into his flesh. He was going to be a mosaic of differen't colored scars not to far. He twisted as he came down, catching hold of the scaly hide and clinging. He edged his way over to Valter, only the faint stifness of his actions showing the ache already developing from the beating. At Valter's jibe, those pink eyes narrowed in a disdainful glare, marred only by the wstrands of silky white hair that were shoved into his face.
"No, I'm not being paid enough at all. First I have to work with this damn fool mage, and now I have to to deal with a gods be damned fool dragon-" From there, his statement became a stream of colorful, creative curses that showed just how extensively he'd travelled, ranging over all languages with a few words from dead languages only half remembered thrown in for good measure. Rabbit might pretend to be a scholar during the winters, but he was good at that pretense, and did the work to back it up. He liked learning, if it was on his own terms.

After about six hours Cael's wings began to flap much slower. He began to descend, first slower, then like a rock. His eyes were closed. His scales began to flatten and grow tan. He shrunk. His wings and tails receded, and his claws turned back to hands. Cael was back to his normal form in three minutes, clothes and all. They plummeted. A shining white ground became within view. It grew closer at an allarming rate. Cael hit the ground first, and disappeared from view.

(Ísing, Cael? That's over 3,000 miles away [I've drawn maps of Syrunn]. That be what, like over Mach 3 he'd have to be flying at for him to get there in an hour. I... suppose you could have him going that fast, but how could Rabbit and Valter possibly hold at those speeds? It would kill them, at least I'm assuming it would. I mean, it's not like I know their characters as well as Valter and Wilson do... Anyways, might I suggest a teleportation spell of some sort? Heh heh, but anywho, be sure to watch out for the Frost Giants, Frost Worms, Remorhaz, and occasional White Dragon or even Ice Devil that make Ísing their home.)

(It's like... An innate Silver Dragon ability... Or something... I'll change the time to six hours, kay?)

(All righty then, that's fine, assuming Wilson and Valter agree that their charries can stay on the dragon's back that long.)

"Grah!" Valter snarled, as their unwanted ride suddenly vanished from underneath them, sending a snowy-white landscape hurtling straight up. My wing's shot! Damn it! Valter thought bitterly as he fell, landing hard inside a snowdrift. The impact reverbrated through his bones.
"Lovely." Valter growled sarcastically. "The snow cushioned the blow to my spine, so now I can die of pneumonia." He pushed himself out of the snow, shaking clumps off of his clothing, and involuntarily shivered. "We ought to have stabbed his eye out three hours ago when he was flying over that city." Valter muttered, spinning his blazing sword in encompassing circles in a feeble attempt to heat up the air around them.
"Do you have a specific word you use in a situation like this?" Valter asked Rabbit snidely, slowly advancing on the mound of snow that was Cael. "I've got three for Cael. You. Are. DEAD."

Rabbit's fingers were numb. ell, his whole body was one numb ache. As scales dissappeared from under his fingers he scrambled for a new hold, only to find himself falling. Automatically he tried to twist and catch himself, only to smash into the snow drift not far from Valter. He bit back a vague whimper, closing his eyes until the shock of the pain subsided and he could ignore it. God, he hated cold. And he was, in the snow, with no sleeves and shorts. Thank god he'd had shoes on before their little interuption. The hilts of weapons had made dark impressions in his pale skin, bruises from where they'd been pressed in. When he managed to climb to his feet he stayed low, skulking through the snow, flexing his numb fingers until he had enough feeling in them that he could feel comfortable drawing three long, lethal looking pins from the sheaths on his arms.
"I know over three hundred words hat encompass the most creative tortures invented. Most are drowish. I'd hapily supply any and teach you the accompanying methods wiht him as a subject." Rabbit growled, voice oddly hoarse. His mouth was dry (they had, after all, been flying, with wind to tear the moisture away and no water for six hours).
