Out of Character:
Name: Niva
Other characters: None yet, unless you count Taron who I threw in the trash bin. xD
In Character:
Name: Mag Auxum
Aliases: Mag
Age: 27
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Occupation/Class: Bartender/Tavern Owner of A Whore’s Pussy
Orientation: Bisexual
Physical Description:
Mag is a rough, burly sort of man. He stands just above 6’5, with powerful broad shoulders and well built arms. His threatening height and build are great in his line of work as a tavern owner. His face however is an entirely different story, with a narrow jaw and pronounced chin. Despite his lips always being curled in a grin, or a smirk, there’s something disturbing about Mag. It could be a long, jagged scar that runs from the left side of his cheek, down under his jaw, or his cold, calculating silvery blue eyes. A mop of unruly, tousled black hair falls thick around his neck and extends nearly to his shoulders. His face is always gruff with dark stubble. After all, when can a tavern owner spare a moment to shave?
As a tavern owner, ragged, torn or dirty clothing comes with the territory. All his shirts are stained or ripped in some form or fashion, and his trousers and slacks are no exception. However, his black leather boots aren’t something Mag spares. A good pair of boots will get a guy everywhere he needs to go. He’s usually wearing a leather tunic and a belt about his waist. He never tries to hide the jagged dagger that is attached to his belt.
Play-By: Kevin Durand, only you know, longer hair. xD
Personality Description:
Mag isn’t the kind of person to be trifled with. He’s rather straight-forward to and to the point. He doesn’t beat around the bush when he wants something from a patron, or an enemy. Mag can’t help but be a good listener, probably a trait he inherited from his long line of bartenders. He’ll hear all the troubles and grief of his patrons, and not even chime in a bit about himself. While a good listener, he is also quite distant, keeping his own life and experiences safely guarded.
While only a simple tavern owner, Mag may not have received a very formal education. But he still has his cunning and wit. He is incredibly street smart, and knows the tavern business like the back of his hand. Mag has also picked up many tricks from his friends in Kalt Nótt..
Despite his natural habit to protect the details of his life, Mag can rub off as light-hearted. With a penchant for smirking or grinning, the appearance of his good mood is contagious. He has a natural charm, especially with the ladies. And Mag can’t help but have a soft spot for helpless or innocent women. He has honor enough not to take advantage of a person who is less fortunate than him.
But like just about anyone in Syrunn, he has a closet full of skeletons and memories he’d like to forget. Though a dark past, he doesn’t let his life interfere with his business. He is a patient man with a long fuse. But anyone who happens to meet his bad side will be nothing more than a piece of dirt to Mag for just about the rest of their life.

History:
Mag’s life was pretty simple growing up. His father was a carpenter, while his mother was a midwife. Living in Avalas wasn’t hard they had a roof over their heads, and most nights food on their table. It wasn’t until Mag was around 15 when his life changed. His mother fell ill and passed with a sickness in the night, with it faded the goodness of his life. His father turned to alcohol, leaving Mag to fend for himself.
It was then that his life would take a turn for the worse. In severe debt, his father lost his home and didn’t bother to even try to care for Mag. As a young man, he got into trouble, learning to pickpocket or steal in order to get a meal for the day. A year after his mother had passed and his father abandoned him, Mag stuck his fingers into the wrong pocket. The pocket of an elf-woman. She went by the name Lady Nótt. She nearly broke his fingers, catching him in the act of thieving. Lady took pity on Mag‘s sad situation. The two quickly became friends. Lady taught Mag how to properly steal the goods from those more fortunate than themselves. After a few years, they had managed to build up enough for Mag to open a tavern. He didn‘t want to keep living the life of a thief if he didn‘t have to. So he opened A Whore‘s Pussy in Cressa, but Lady wanted something different from him. Still friends, they stayed in contact until Mag was 23. Then she disappeared from his life for a while.
Lady returned a couple years later with trouble following. She had gone to Mag for help, having robbed the wrong man. A corrupt nobleman of Avalas had caught Lady stealing from his manor. He followed her back to Cressa, raiding Mag‘s tavern, leaving both Lady and Mag with some scars to show for it. After the raid, Mag moved under ground with Lady, reopening A Whore‘s Pussy in Cressa‘s sewers, and Lady started a thieves guild known on the streets as Kalt Nótt. In just a couple years, the guild‘s reputation went from nothing to infamous, and smaller branches of the guild moved to other small towns in Avalas. Mag a true friend to Lady allowed her to use the backrooms of his tavern and bar for her headquarters, helping her when he could. After all, having an infamous guild boarding in the rooms of his tavern was good for business.
Now the tavern despite being in the depths of the sewers has a record for great beer and ale, good company, and safety for those who aren‘t exactly law-abiding citizens. It is an established front, with a good payout for the guild Kalt Nótt.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths: Mag’s brute strength and towering figure put him at a physical advantage with the average Joe. He’s been in plenty of rough bar fights and street fights, so he knows how to use his hands. In addition to his physical power, he’s learned his way around daggers and short swords. While there isn’t ever a pressing need to use weapons as force, Mag keeps his hands and body trained should he ever need to.
His patience could be considered strength, as he never explodes and loses his temper to someone. Mag’s patience isn’t his only personality trait that could be considered a strength. His distance and closed off nature as well as neutrality prevents him from becoming attached to people. People can be used against another.
Mag’s friendly nature and ability to listen genuinely to others often draws people towards him. Although he never forms personal relationships with these people, his charm and sweet disposition can come in handy.
Weaknesses: While being unattached to those around him is a strength, it’s also Mag’s biggest weakness. He has few personal relationships, and any he has typically don’t last.
Though Mag has his fists, and knows his way with a dagger compared to someone smaller he is somewhat slow. By his very nature, it’s impossible for Mag to be swift and agile. On occasion, his towering height causes more problems.
Magic: N/A.
Weapons/Armor/Equipment: He doesn’t really have much other than his jagged dagger, and his massive fists. Mag doesn’t need much more to keep order in his tavern.
Other: Mag is a mutual friend of the Kalt Nótt. His tavern and bar is located in the sewers of Cressa, Avalas. It is a business front for the organization Kalt Nótt, a place where theives can come and go safely without prejudice and drink to their hearts content. The headquarters of Kalt Nótt are located in the back rooms of A Whore‘s Pussy.
The cook of A Whore's Pussy works for Mag and is named Gregor. He's a portly man, who also on occasion acts as a peacekeeper in the tavern. In addition to Gregor, there is a sweet little maid with long curly red locks, and a slender figure who keeps the tavern tidy, and serves in the evening named Jonas. Both of Mag's employees are completely aware of their affiliation with the guild and are okay with it.
I'll eventually post up Mag's friend Lady.
