"Burried treasure? We could, ya know, try 'n' find a way off this lump of land." She grumbled and sighed heavily before shaking her head. There was no way she would convince them that there was a little urgency in this, that they needed to find some sort of civilisation before night fell and they ended up sleeping outside.
"Thanks." She murmured as Sy passed her the coconut, turning her gaze out to the sea. Oh, she hated being on land, everything was too still.

Kamui picked up one of the other coconuts he had knocked down. "If ya' wanna leave, we can go any time on my raft." Kamui said to Nicu, as he worked on opening the coconut. "However, I find the notion of a treasure hunt a whole lot more fun. Wouldn't ya' agree, Nudge?" He managed to split the coconut cleanly in two. He put both halves on the ground. Sakurako began to lap up the coconut milk from one half, and Yibbles quickly abandoned the sand for the other half.

"Yes, it sounds very exciting!" she beamed and nodded in agreement, looking up at Nicu after she had finished with her coconut. She recognised that look, tilting her head at the sailor. "Or... y'know. We could go. But we don't even know where we are, and those pirates that exploded us could very well still be out there. If they decide to explode Sy's raft even though it's not really big enough to give them anything they need, then we could end up back here again anyway, if we even got back at all." she reasoned, rising to her feet and brushing the sand from her clothes. "And since we're here we may as well look for treasure! What else is there to do on an island?" she giggled.

As much as she hated to admit it, what Nudge said made sense. They couldn't risk going out in the little raft and being blown out of the water, they had barely survived their last run in with the pirates, she doubted that they would be quite as lucky the next time around. She didn't seem thrilled about treasure hunting either. She wasn't a pirate, she wasn't obsessed with treasure. She supposed, however, that it could be a suitable distraction for while they were stuck on land. "Fine, whatever. Do whatever you want."

"Yay! It'll be an adventure." He said, cracking open a coconut for himself. "Trekking through the forest, dodgin' booby traps, talking skulls... should be fun." He grinned and began to chug the milk from the coconut.

"Talking skulls? Ohh, wow! And climbing cliffs and hiding from pirates and digging for treasure?" she added, looking excited now and brandishing her staff like a makeshift walking stick. "Oh, but..." she looked at the ground, frowning ever so slightly. "Don't we need a map? Did those pirates have a map with them? ...Did they have a SHIP with them?" she wondered, looking suddenly panicky. "Are there MORE pirates?"

"No." Nicu put in quickly and bluntly. "There are no more pirates, we've had enough pirates today." She grumbled, sipping at her coconut milk, glancing around suspiciously. "Whatever, treasure hunting, sure. No pirates though, so no maps."

"It's just as well. We can track their trail in reverse, right? Start from where they emerged from the trees and work our way to wherever it was they came from." Having drank all the milk in his coconut, Kamui used his dagger to slice off a piece of the coconut meat, which he threw to Yibbles. "Ya' want me ta' get the meat outta your coconuts?" He asked Nicu and Nudge.

"Oh, yeah, that's a great idea. Sounds a lot easier than searching for an invisible map, anyway." Nudge laughed, as if that had been her next idea. Nevermind. "Hm? Oh, yes please." she smiled, holding out her coconut for him, before looking around at where the pirates would have emerged. "Let's see... I think it was by there." she pointed lightly, before shaking her head. "No, that wasn't it. We'll figure it out." she shrugged, casting her gaze out to the sea.
"...I wonder if any of the other crew survived." she voiced after a while, frowning ever so slightly and glancing to Nicu. "They might have, right?"

"Ya wanna follow the pirates...just in case they got a treasure map?" Nicu tilted her head at them, watching Sy for a moment, as though trying to decide if he was really serious or not, before sighing heavily and shaking her head. They were mad, they really were crazy. It wasn't enough that they had been blown out of the water and had just been attacked by pirates, now they wanted to go chasing after them.
"Yeah, sure." She nodded to Sy, holding out her coconut for him. Who knew when they would get to eat next, she should make the most of it now.
"I dunno, they might have. Might not wash up here, might not wash up at all. No point lookin' for 'em anyway." She mumbled to Nudge, turning her gaze out to sea.

"They exited the trees there." Kamui pointed over his shoulder. "I memorized their scent when I was fightin' them, so once I get the trail, it shouldn't be a problem." He took the coconuts and set about extracting the meat from them. "I... I dunno which direction you came from, but I didn't see anyone when I was driftin' on my raft. I'm sorry."

"You didn't see anyone? That's a shame." she nodded a little, as if to say it didn't matter; it wasn't as though they could do anything for the crew anyway, if there were survivors. "Hopefully they will have managed to find their way to shore somewhere." she figured, sighing and following his gaze over to where he said the pirates had come from. "You can pick out their scent? That's really... wow!" she smiled. "Is that some kind of magic or something?" she enquired.

Nicu didn't hold out much luck that any of the rest of the crew had survived. It was a miracle that they had washed up at shore, chances of survival weren't in favour of the other crew members. Strangely enough, the ability to swim wasn't necessary for working on a ship, that and of the crew would have been injured in the explosion; if Nicu hadn't found the driftwood for her and Nudge to hold onto then they probably wouldn't have made it back to shore either, but she didn't want to think about that. "Ya can smell 'em?" She tilted her head at Sy, seeming just as amazed as Nudge was by this, discreetly sniffing at herself, as though wondering if she had a scent that he could memorise.

(Heh. If you flip back to page one, Kamui did comment on her scent. It's how he knew she was female.)
"No, no." Kamui shook his head. "Not magic. And here." He held out the coconut shells to Nicu and Nudge, now bowls holding the fruit's meat. "As you can see, I'm not fully human." He gave his furry tail a flick and grinned. "My sense of smell is naturally sharper then normal human's. Hehe. I guess ya' could say I'm like a bloodhound, in that I can track scents. I'm really good at rememberin' them too."

((Whoops. XD)
"Thank you." Nudge smiled as he passed her the coconut, moving to sit down on the sand again, watching his furry tail with the innocent amusement of a child. She might have been travelling alone for a while, but she still wasn't incredibly mature. "If you're not fully human, what else are you?" she asked curiously, tilting her head up at him as she ate the meat from her coconut. "If it's not rude to ask, that is." she smiled, and sniffed at the air as if to try and test her own sense of smell. But all she got was the salt of the sea breeze and the faint scent of tropical flowers behind them.
