"It feels...tingly and numb...much better than pain." She nodded to him before looking confused. "Except...it feels like there's nothing holding my head on..." She blinked, biting her lower lip lightly as she touched her fingers to her neck, as if checking that it was still there and her head wouldn't just tumble from her shoulders and go rolling off over the ground. Ick, no, her head falling from her body wouldn't be a very fun experience at all, though Vyncent would probably find it rather amusing really, wouldn't he? Hummm, which would he find the most amusing, his bloody and violent revenge on the nobles or Evelyn's head suddenly falling off? Difficult choice wasn't it? Well, not for Evvie because she wouldn't hesitate in saying that she would be much more amused by watching the nobles die in a truly disgusting fashion rather than herself dying like that.
"Oh good, I'm fed up of being hurt now." She pouted up at Vyncent, the sound of his voice dragging her up from her worrying about her the loss of her head. "I want to go back outside, I'm fed up of being stuck in this awful room." She huffed as she rose to her feet and stretched out to rid the stiffness from her muscles, yawning widely before touching a hand to the side of her head, as if checking that it was still in place. "Did you talk to the inn keeper?" She asked rather randomly.

"It's only an awful room because you've spent so long in it." he reminded her lightly, running a hand through his silvery hair and tearing his gaze from the window. "It's not that bad for me." he shrugged, before smirking at her question about the inn-keeper. "I didn't talk to him, so much as scare him..." he told her, his eyes glinting demonically, "Let's just say that the rest of our stay here is free, okay? And whenever we decide to come back that's the way it's going to be." he nodded, having made sure the inn-keeper knew their importance, even if he didn't actually recognise them because of the illusion spell. "Mortals are so easy to intimidate, it doesn't take much at all does it?" he was talking to himself again practically - he'd been alone in his head too long, he'd become too accustomed to talking to just him.
"We'll leave tomorrow, but we can go out today if you want to." yes, he seemed to be rather nice today, in one of his cheerful spells for once. And he hadn't quite recovered enough to fully lose his temper again anyway - it was better to wait for his anger to completely bloom at his most powerful. It was that much more spectacular to see, then. He tilted his head as she seemed to have a conversation with herself - she must drift off into thought nearly as much as he did, he thought. "The numbness will wear off soon, then you should be alright..." he mumbled, lifting a brow.

"I don't care why this room is awful, it just is and I hate it. It gets more and more like a cage every day and it's driving me mad." She snarled rather venomously, eyes flashing with that determination that she wouldn't be caged ever again. It was pretty obvious that she would never have been able to cope in this room if he had been unconscious for any longer she really would have gone mad and broken out of the room, illusion spell or no illusion spell. "I wish I could make people do that for me, but I don't really think I'm that much of an intimidating person...people are only scared of me when I'm killing them." She pouted up at Vyncent, as if it were his fault that she couldn't be intimidating. "At least you got your money back, I was just planning on killing him and taking all his money." She shrugged, "Your solution was much less bloody."
"Yeah!" She exclaimed excitedly as he said that they could go out, swiftly hunting down her boots and tugging them on, swinging her coat over her shoulders, looking up to watch Vyncent expectantly. "Lets go for a walk, I'm going to go mad if I stay in here for one more second!" She whimpered a little, smoothing her hair out. "We can go look at your destruction again and see if they've tried to clean it up yet and...stuff..."

"Permanently killing mortals gets tiring after a while... and I wouldn't want to waste my energy." he told her, wrinkling his nose and leaning down to find his boots as he talked. "Scaring him did the job well enough... and I would be very, very surprised if you didn't intimidate people when you were killing them. They'll learn though, you have a wanted poster again now remember? I bet they made yours look masculine to go with my feminine one. I am going to burn the artist who drew me to death. Perhaps only almost to death, then I'll leave the pain to finish him off." he narrowed his eyes, clenching his fist as he finished doing up his boots and climbed to his feet, sweeping himself off. There, he actually felt ready to go outside now.
"I'll be very annoyed if they've cleaned up my mess. I messed it up for a reason, don't they realise that?" he sighed, holding out both of his palms again to make the air shimmer as he put the illusion spell back up around them, closing his eyes for a moment to concentrate. When he was certain the spell was back up to its full strength, he buckled Amor around his waist and glanced over his shoulder at her. "You want to go first, Miss-I-Haven't-Seen-The-Outside-World-in-Forever?" he grinned lightly, resting a hand in his pocket lightly and turning by the door to patiently wait for her.

"I don't know, I could quite happily kill mortals forever so long as they always scream and bleed." She told the demon, her innocent expression and tone rather unnerving really when coupled with brutality of her words; Evelyn was just a walking contradiction wasn't she? "That's only because you are good at scaring people, people are never scared of girls unless they think you're going to kill them...or until you're actually killing them." She nodded to him, rolling her eyes a little, as if he should have known such a thing. She gasped a little as he mentioned her wanted posted, pretending to look offended as she pouted at him, folding her arms over her chest. "You are so mean, I'm not masculine at all." She huffed, flicking her hair back over her shoulder, "Where as people can say that you are ever so slightly feminine, and the artist exploited that to annoy you." She grinned to him, teasing lightly.
"I will be very annoyed too..." She nodded to him, moving over to the window to peer outside, as if to see if the town was still charred. "Blood takes longer to clean up than that, especially that much blood." She told him, sounding as if she knew that from experience as she looked back at him, eyes lighting up as she practically ran for the door. Finally! Outside time! It had been too long since she had been outside in the fresh air and sun. She grabbed the door handle and practically dragged the door open to dash out into the corridor; someone was rather hyperactive today, Vynce would have keep an eye on her to make sure that she didn't get distracted and lost.

"I know a few women that can scare people better than I can..." he told her absently, smirking a little as she dashed for the door. He may as well follow, see where she'd go. He'd never seen Evelyn like this - she was such a hyperactive little shifter sometimes. Shaking his head, he strolled out of the door and down the stairs to follow her; they were unnoticed as usual, so he carried on with their conversation. "You are ever so slightly masculine if I'm the feminine one." he mocked with a sly little grin, knowing it would get on his nerves. "Ladies don't exactly grow claws and tear a mans insides to the outside, do they? And ladies know how to read and write. And play music, and all other sorts of cultured ideas." he rested one hand on Amor out of habit now, having missed the feel of the sword's hilt.
Everything still seemed a lot brighter to the demon, though he was nolonger in his patient, cheerful mood. Evelyn was infectious, like some kind of a disease, and he had to put his view of everything down to her cheeriness and him having not seen colour in a long time. "They'll probably still be cleaning up my mess, or lighting candles or praying to their stupid gods, if the time is right by me." he murmured to her, looking out of the windows of the inn, "That's what they usually do when I've been. Aaaand then some hero will track me for a few towns and I'll dispose of him too. But this time... they think we're dead. So this should be very interesting. I wonder if they'll be holding a celebration in the honour of our deaths?" he laughed.

Evelyn spun around on the spot to stick her tongue out at Vyncent at his comment about being masculine, wrinkling her nose up at him. "Why want to be a lady? They are stuck up and boring and wain and all anyone ever see them as is property." She shuddered a little, still seeming cheerful as she shook her head at him. "I'm happy being Evelyn who had claws and who can tear a mans insides out," She chimed to him in a sing song voice spinning around again as she skipped off ahead of him. "Beauty is within savagery silly." She rolled her eyes, as if she had expected someone like Vyncent to have realised that. If beauty came in things like clothes and flowers and such then it was mundane. Violence, however, could never be mundane, and in Evvie's twisted little innocent mind the most beautiful thing in the world was watching someone die.
"I hate candles." She informed Vynce with a huff, not pausing to wait for him as she hurried out of the room, the bells on her skirt tinkling merrily as her feet dashed over the worn floor boards, surprisingly light footed to say that she was wearing such heavy boots. She smiled as she tugged the door open, pausing to breathe in a lungful of the fresh air before turning to look back at Vyncent. "Stop playing around and come onnnn." She complained, practically hopping from foot to foot as she waited for him.

"That's the most intelligent thing I've heard you say since I met you." Vyncent told her with a light smirk, "Beauty is within savagery. I like that." he nodded, before sighing and finally stepping outside of the inn into the sun. "Happy now, sunshine?" he asked, resting one hand against Amor as he let the door swing shut again. There were people bustling around Valley Town as usual, but everyone seemed withdrawn and silent - there were no children playing, no banter among the market stalls and no street performers... The town was dead on the inside, the reason for this evident when you looked at the dark, twisted network of cracks that had come from the direction of the town hall. Some of the path was still stained red with blood that hadn't quite faded, and people seemed to avoid these parts like the plague.
"Ah, just what I like to see on a sunny day." the demon smiled his crooked half-smile, turning on heel to stroll pleasantly back towards the town hall, eyes on the deep blue of the sky. "If you dressed like a lady," he continued their conversation, theirs one of the only voices to be heard around the market, "Then you have the element of surprise. You can be Evelyn who has claws and can rip a man's insides out, but everyone expects that. If you were Evelyn who nobody thought could do such a thing, then it's all the more entertaining to watch... and to do, I assume." he grinned back at her over his shoulder, pushing a wisp of silvery hair out of his face.

"I'm not totally stupid you know." She tutted at him , spinning on the spot so that she was facing him. Her skirt flared out with the quick movement, bells chiming in a lively tune as the material fell back into place around her legs once more. "Just because I can't count or read of stupid things like that doesn't mean I can't say intelligent stuff every now and again." She pointed out as she shook her head at him ever so slightly. Vyncent could be incredibly dumb for an educated person couldn't he? Oh well, as much as he might like to think so, he wasn't perfect, and if he was Evelyn would have avoided him like the plague, nevermind the blood on the floor. In fact, her feet were dancing about rather gracefully as she dodged between the cracks and the remnants of blood still staining the ground, smiling to herself happily. "Much happier now, and there aren't too many people out, which is good too." She giggled to him gently.
"Dress like a lady? But why?" She paused to look back at him, seeming confused. "Wear a dress that I can't even breathe right in and that is so tight I can hardly move and that there is so much stupid, fancy material that I always fall over it?" She arched an eyebrow, looking at him as if he really were crazy. "Plus how am I supposed to get out of a lady dress when I shift?" Aww, she could be practical couldn't she? Not to mention that she refused to look like a silly, stuck up noble that thought they could control other people's lives. "There is nothing wrong with my clothes. I won't let you dress me up like a doll." She pointed at him accusingly. "I am not a doll." She reminded him with a huff.

"Not with THAT attitude you aren't." he scoffed at her with a smirk, "You'd never make a good doll talking like that. You're more of an animal anyway, so it's a good thing you can shift." he shrugged, taking a more leisurely pace to enjoy the scenery... even if the scenery was of several charred buildings, empty streets, cracked stones on the floor. It made a very grim contrast to the lovely day, though Vyncent didn't seem to notice. When did he ever notice the obvious, though? "Counting and reading and 'stuff' isn't stupid. It's necessary. Especially if you want to learn magic." he sighed exhasperatedly - imagine Evelyn with magic. Jeez, it would be like giving a blind person a bow and arrow and telling them to aim for a red barrell.
He rubbed his eyes as he thought about it, a little scowl on his face. Then he took his hand away, glanced up at the sky again and stopped. "I can smell blood. Can't you?" he asked her with a light smile; they were just in front of... well, what was left of the town hall, and the stench of blood filled the air even a week and a half later, seeping through the cracks in the pavement and up the walls of houses. The demon had really done a number on Valley Town, hadn't he? God forbid he lose his temper with those nobles... with him and Evelyn, there would be no stopping them.

"I prefer being an animal, being a doll would be dulllllllllllll." She drew out the word, as if to emphasize just how boring she would find being a pretty little doll that just did as she was told and looked pretty for everyone else; that just wasn't Evelyn at all. Her Master had tried to turn her into his little doll for his collection and look what had happened to him, she would probably partly maul Vyncent if he ever tried to dress her up in one of those fancy dresses, before running off to hide from him so he couldn't kill her. "Bah, you're supposed to be teaching me anyway." She reminded him as she turned to continue her game of dodging off between the splatters of blood on the ground, though it was growing increasingly more difficult to find a bloodless spot to hop into. "I looked at your cards while you were asleep, you know, but they still don't make any sense to me." She pouted over her shoulder at him, as if it was his fault she couldn't understand the cards.
"You can smell blood, I've never stopped smelling blood the whole time we've been here." She nodded as she paused to look up at the town hall, a twisted little grin working it's way over her features. No matter how hard the towns people scrubbed and rebuilt they would never get rid of the smell of blood, this would always be a graveyard for the town now, the kind of place where you shivered when you stepped into it and where you could never actually feel happy; Vyncent really had done a great job of scarring this town forever. "It's just stronger here, not a surprise seeing as there aren't even any gaps in the blood on the floor."

Turn her into a doll? Psht, what would be the point in that? She'd never agree to it anyway, and he could always find a 'doll' to play with in any city, it wasn't as though he needed her to look like a lady. So he only shrugged at her statement, flitting his eyes from the sky and back down the remnants of the town hall. He pouted lightly at the news that she'd never stopped smelling the blood - it was only faint to him all around the town, and only really became strong here. Damn animal shifter senses, they were even more acute than his. Not that he'd tell her that, after all - he really was just perfect in his eyes, straightening the cuff of his shirt under the jacket out of habit and walking forwards a little. There were hardly any people in this area, though a few candles were lit here and there, flickering brightly amongs the stones.
"I will teach you. Eventually." he told her with a small nod, "When I get the time. For now I'll just concentrate on teaching you numbers, you can at least learn that while we walk." he smirked lightly, the image of Evelyn marching along counting every step she took just too vivid for him to just dismiss. He glanced down at the red stained floor, drumming his fingers along Amor's hilt and smiling pleasantly. "It's just one, big blood bath isn't it?" he sighed softly, kicking one of the candles over as he walked so the melted wax poured out onto the floor. Respect for the dead his arse. The illusion spell flickered for a moment then, Vyncent scowling as he brought it back up. Of course, he might look well enough, but strength wasn't exactly easy to draw back.

Yes, but men like Vyncent always seemed to want a pretty little doll on their arm as they walked around, didn't they? Then again, if anyone was stupid enough to think that they could dress Evvie up and parade around with her smiling all day then they deserved to get mauled awfully didn't they? Even Vyncent, so it was a good job that he wasn't stupid enough to think that she would even consider letting him dress her up or any other absurd thing like that. She couldn't help but grin a little as she caught him pouting, giving him an innocent look as she skipped off ahead of him. What did he expect? She was a shifter with the senses of which ever animal she chose, of course her senses were more acute than his, in fact, she could even smell the subtle differences that separated each different persons blood; but she wouldn't tell him that. She didn't want him to throw a tantrum now did she?
"You'll just keep saying that until eventually becomes never and I die." She pouted at him playfully, mischief dancing in her eyes as she glanced back at him, laughing to herself happily. "A blood bath? On no, it's much better than that." She smirked as she spun around on the spot again, "It's a whole, bloody massacre, you can almost still hear them screaming, it's great." She actually seemed rather cheerful to be in such a dead place, the way most young women would have reacted to being in a field of flowers.

"I'm glad you like it." he smirked a little at the sight of her among the devastation, folding his arms lightly and letting his eyes drift across the town hall. "I worked hard on it, you know." he nodded, as though he'd made her a present or something. Vyncent was a mystery like that - one minute he could be easy to talk to, the next it would be like putting a puzzle together. And 'men like Vyncent' didn't often murder the little doll on their arm, or something worse. Vyncent wasn't a man, he was a monster in human form. Which just made him more dangerous; people tended to assume that just because he looked human, he would have the same morals. A mistake those nobles had, unfortunately for them, made a week and a half ago. He strolled forwards a little, not having to worry about looking suspicious by the townspeople as there was hardly anyone there.
"Hopefully." he grinned to himself to her comment about her being dead before he taught her anything useful, stretching languidly and taking a seat on the edge of a crumbling wall which was still stained red with blood. It was doubtful the red would ever fade properly, blood spilled by the demon had a tendancy to stay around for longer than was normal. "Hm..." he sighed, that little glint in his eyes saying he was thinking again. He lifted his head and closed his eyes lightly, frowning after a while and letting them snap back open. "I can't find them, they've been gone for too long. The trail is cold." he glanced at Evelyn. "Can you find the path the nobles have taken, or will we have to search for them the old fashioned way?" he asked her.

Chi or Ink... When I get my new character up, Chi's asked me to join in here with you, so, because I'm too lazy to read through all of this, could one of you just quickly summarise what's happened and where you are at the moment?
