Taloran rocked lightly with the boat as it approached the port, his mind paying almost no attention to the city that was sprawled out before him. For him, such things were not exactly spectacular sights, as he far more thoroughly enjoyed the wonders of the wilderness. Having spent almost all his life growing up in a heavily forested area, he could never shake the feeling of insecurity when he was in the open - or walking down a crowded street where there was no where to hide. He placed a hand on his chin while he thought about his plans for whatever future he might have in these lands, it certainly wasn't going to be much of a peaceful existence - that he had already concluded. No, if there was any way for him to make a living, it would be either through pirating and robbing the pirates and robbers, or through bounty hunting...Perhaps both.
A few more minutes and the boat was finally a couple meters away from the dock, awaiting the crew to bring it in and tie it up. Taloran however, was far to impatient to wait for that to be finished, he'd had enough of being stranded and being confined to such a small space. With a running start, he kicked off from the side of the boat and launched himself onto the dock where he landed in a kneeling position. He ignored the glances of those around him, knowing all to well that they would be wondering how in the world he'd made such a jump. Of course, the headband would keep the majority from realizing he wasn't human - that the ears underneath were pointed. He stood up and walked a short distance, coming to a road where all the traffic intersected and caused a commotion! The business of the place around him struck him suddenly, and he felt vulnerable once again. A outcast in a strangers land, that's what he was. "If only I had a guide." He muttered simply. The young Alkorim stepped back out of the way of the cart and then decided to cross once it had passed - only to end up dodging several other carts and diving out of the way of a fourth - finally making it to the other side. He stumbled up onto the sidewalk while looking back to the street, and bumped into someone, immediately catching his balance. "Sorry, didn't see." He apologized. Taloran had never made a particularly good attempt to learn the languages of the places he visited, and at best he knew how to communicate on a basic level. He looked forward and most certainly would have extended his hand down to the person he had bumped into, if they had fallen.
