Forgotten by the guards, Kuaixing silently looked on, returning Jethroe's glare with an expression of perverse glee. Grimacing after his arrow failed to score a direct hit, the archer reached into his quiver and nocked a unique looking arrow. This he fired upward, whereupon the arrow lit up like the signal flare that is was. Backup would soon be on its way. The female guard continued to gag and choke, blood spurting from her neck, as she thrashed about, gasping for air. But then she moved no more. Spewing out an Elven curse (Elves do have swear words, right?), the remaining spearman took up his weapon and angrily charged Jethroe.

"Bring it." Jethroe grinned maliciously, using an interesting little technique similar to knife throwing to send the shaft in his hand into the eye of the other bowman as he decided he particularly didn't like him.
The charging spear man, however, he still bore no ill will toward. However, since logic(what little remained in his speedily hyperventilating brain) told him that he would have to direct his vicious feelings elsewhere, as one, Kuaixing was out of range, and two, Kuaixing was out of range.
How this made sense I don't know, but Jethroe's odd little mind reasoned in an odd manner.
As it was he dodged lightly aside and rammed his clawed hand into the neck of the spear man as he charged by. it was the weakest area in the guard's armor, however a rather messy place to hit.
Jethro wished he had gone for the spine as blood from the jugular spewed into his face.
He cursed again as the guardsman gargled and died, "Dang... Now I'm on a blood spree. I thought I was better than this." he bemoaned as he licked the gore from his paw, "Well, I has me a spear now." he consoled himself as he nudged the fallen weapon from the dead man's hands. However he decided to forgo actually picking it up as he went to retrieve his staff.
"Dang. You went and made me get this stuck!" he frowned at the demon girl as he tried to pull the staff out of the archer's skull, "I was doing so well keeping sane... too..." he grinned suddenly, "God I love split personalities! What mayhem shall be wrought now? heh... wrought... rot..." he snickered to himself, an entirely un-Jethro-like gleam in his eye, "I haven't outright murdered in.... wow... " he counted on his fingers, then gave up, "Did Jeth introduce himself to th' lady?" he wondered aloud, "No matter... he's gone... heh.."

(I always feel kinda bad when I play a villain, which is why I have prepared the following statement: The preceding and following posts are a role-play. All views and statements expressed by Kuaixing® are her own and do not reflect those of Syrunn® or Kamui™, Inc.)
She continued to watch with delight as Jethroe skewered the archer and tore out the spearman's neck. "How marvelous!" She exclaimed picking herself up off the ground. "You are no stranger to death. I knew your hands were soiled. Monsters can recognize each other." She gazed up at the signal flare hanging brightly in the sky. Shouts could be heard in the distance. "But this one is so very weak and easily wounded by the piss-ants... I wonder how many more it can kill before it is killed in turn?"

((lol much.))
At last his staff was free, "How many, does she ask?" he smiled, his acute hearing picking up every word, "I've never actually bothered counting. Counting is for fools and weaklings, who wish to pretend they have something, when they don't."
The shouting grew closer, Jethroe frowned and flicked his ears about, then sniffed the air, "I have been locked down too long. But Jeth has a facade to maintain..." he flicked his eye from Kuaixing to the distant approaching guards, then trotted to a nearby alleyway, "All who have seen are dead except her majesty of twist. And she has a reward herself." he contemplated as he situated himself far back enough to watch, "I need more blood, but are they worth it? Are they a challenge?"

"Perhaps it misunderstood me, for I meant how many guards can it kill." She said, still gazing upward. "Perhaps it does not understand what kind of predicament it is in." She looked to Jethroe and smiled wickedly. "If you flee, I will give any and all guards that come your description. I will tell them the direction you head in, for you cannot hide from my senses. Even if you could, location spells are a simple matter for Elves. Unlike me, I doubt you have the means to avoid detection by the piss-ants indefinitely."

"Guards, people? Is there a terrible difference?" Jethroe mused before putting on a look of shock, "Me? Run? Why ever would I do that for? My lady has awakened me, drawn me out from the dark recess of Jethroe's mind. I would be sore ungrateful not to take advantage of the opportunity to blood. No, I am merely using the element of surprise to my advantage."
Saying so he crouched and waited a moment as the first party of guards showed up at the scene of the bloody crime.
Two spear men and two wielders of the sword. Jethroe made short work of the two swordsmen, but was only able to wound one spear man, and was advancing on the second when more help had arrived in the form of two groups from either end of the street.
"Yadda, yadda! It seems I miscalculated," Jethroe hit the defense and backed up toward the alley and his means of escape, "Time to see who is most fleet of foot." he finished the last spear man and glanced at the demon girl, "Is my lady Kuaixing familiar with what I believe is called the Hitten Mitsurugi style?" he asked, using her name for the first time, "The art of fighting many?" Here Jethroe turned and fled, the soldiers hot on his trail, only a few remaining to look to the fallen.

She looked to one end of the street and then the other and smiled. She disappeared again. A burst of wind ran through the alley and a wavering ghost-like Kuaixing flickered beside Jethroe for just an instant. She appeared at the other side of the alley. "Idiot! You still don't understand." She punched the wall and blue sparks of energy surged through it, causing it to collapse behind her and block the alley's exit with rubble. "I won't let you flee so easily. You will fight until you kill them all or fall!" "<Take the male down and apprehend the woman>!" One of the guards called out as they quickly filled up and blocked the alley's other exit. Kuaixing laughed wickedly and disappeared again, reappearing crouched on top of the pile of rubble, looking down on them.

Jethroe contemplated for a split second. He could easily vault the rubble, or slam on the brakes and turn to fight. It hadn't been his plan to corner himself until a more narrow alleyway presented itself however, one in which they could only attack him one at a time.
Jethroe went with vaulting himself up over the rubble with the aid of his staff. He brought it up in an overhand swing as the momentum carried him, and brought it down with th intention of either hitting Kuaixing where she crouched, or the rubble itself to levy himself farther, and so clear the rubble completely.

"Bad dog! Down!" As he brought down his staff, Kuaixing disappeared and instantly reappeared in a burst of wind above Jethroe as he hung in the air mid-vault. Grinning, she raised her leg high and brought it down with inhuman speed and strength, performing a devastating axe kick (which strikes with the heel of the foot).

A plethora of very unpleasant thoughts past through the mind of Jeth as he was hit down mid-flight, least of all was how the bloody heck Kuaixing kept staying three steps ahead of his every move, and most of all what he was going to do to her if he ever got the chance.
However, after hitting the rubble, and subsequently the ground, Jethroe had no recollection of the thoughts, but rather, was left wondering if his back was broken. He was very much his old self, the darker side of his mind having been knocked back into it's usual place of reserve, for the blood lust had gone out of him.
He tried to reconnect to his body and force himself up, but everything hurt and he remained face down on the cobblestones, swimming in and out of consciousness.

A couple of the guards quickly pinned Jethroe down, while a third produced some manacles. A few others began to climb the rubble to get to Kuaixing. She stared down at them with contempt, dispatching them with the last of her throwing knives. An archer let loose an arrow, but this she snatched out of the air with her long sleeve and flung it back, felling the archer. "I too enjoy making my victims suffer, mongrel..." She sneered down at Jethroe. "I'm sure the tavern goers and guards would call themselves victims, but to me they were just filthy insects to be crushed underfoot and not given a second thought. But I feel your killer intent has faded. I grow bored of you, which makes you just another filthy little bug to be crushed." She struck both walls, sending an explosive surge of energy through the alley, causing half the buildings on either side to collapse. The remaining guards screamed and threw up their arms as they were buried alive under a landslide of rubble and debris. Kuaixing had already disappeared without a trace.
(Since one can't kill a character off without the player's permission, it's obviously up to you whether or not Jethroe will survive. Either way Kuaixing has lost interest and left the area.)

Ooc: I believe I'll let him die. His character wasn't really cut out for this, but it's helped me develope him more for my own devices off-web.
Congratulations, in all my time as a roleplayer you are the first to successfuly kill off one of my characters.

(Jethroe was a fine character. Kuaixing is just one of the strongest characters here on Syrunn, and now I feel bad about unleashing her upon you. So, umm, no hard feelings, yeah?)
