Ailonwy stopped in front of the carriage, gawking. She couldn't believe what was happening. She thought she would burst with excitement. She let out a small, girlish squeal, clapping her hands over her mouth to muffle herself. "Oh, Sy, you certainly know how to make a girl feel like royalty!" she exclaimed, placing her hand in his and allowing him to help her up. Still hardly able to grasp exactly how fortunate she was, she took a seat, almost feeling guilty for doing so, but unable to resist. "I might just faint," she said quietly. She noticed all the people looking at her and blushed a little, but turned her gaze to the platform, where the queen was along with three guards. She walked to the center of it and cast a spell that Ailonwy recognized as a voice-amplifying charm. She had seen it used on several occasions. She was glad for this, as it distracted most everyone. They turned from her and Kamui to Aviel, who was calm and collected on the outside, but nervous, excited, jittery, and so many other emotions within.

"Ah, what can I say? I do my best ta' please..." He shrugged as Ailonwy climbed into the carriage. After helping Sakurako up, he climbed up himself taking a seat next to Ailonwy. Sakurako sat on the carriage's roof, between Kamui's feet. "Don't you look cozy." Kamui said with a smile to the little piglet, still snuggled in Ailonwy's arms. His attention was drawn from Yibbles to Aviel when she cast her charm. 'This... should be interestin'.'

Ailonwy sat with perfect posture in her chair, as if trying to look as composed and elegant as Aviel seemed to do naturally. She felt it would be an injustice to the throne to do anything less. Ailonwy, calm down, it's not an actual throne... Just a seat on a carriage, she thought silently, trying to soothe her nerves so that she would be able to sit quietly through the speech. But still... YES!
"Hello, Eria," Aviel said, smiling. "I've always wanted to say that... But hello to you from other countries, and those of you who claim no certain country." After stating each possibility, there was a small cheer from different people of the crowd, though the first was certainly the loudest, the one that Ailonwy cheered with. "When I was thanking a man, a fine, brave man who had risked himself for my sake once, so long ago... He told me that he was not worthy of my praise, that all praise should go to the master, not the servant.
"I wish to tell you all something, and do not take these words lightly, for I mean them with all of my being: You are not my servants, you are my people. Whether you come from Sallic, Avalas, here in Balavan... If you have a home or do not, whether it is a part of Eria or not, I'm assuming that you have come to show your respect for me, for Eria. Servants are not paid in respect, but money, if that. My people, I pay you in respect, something you cannot buy or hold, but something you can trust. If you live on the streets, sleep with your livestock, or if you live in a mansion, it does not matter. I don't know how to say this, I've never really been quite good with words...
"If you can believe me, though I do not know you personally and may never shake hands with you, or learn your names... I love you. Every last one of you. Every child, adult, elder and all those in between. Every elf, gnome, human, or otherwise. I love you, with all my heart.
"Your only duty to me is to show allegiance and trust, and with that I will never lead you into darkness. Masters do not lead their servants, they command. I, as your Queen, will lead you, and the choice of whether you will follow me or not is left in your hands. I may only share my gold with those of you who are veterans and members of the Erian military, but I share my respect, my love, and everything else that stitches together the pieces of my soul with you. You cannot hold these things, or use them to buy your bread, but you can feel them rushing in your blood, making your heart beat. And to all of those who helped decorate, who spent a pretty coin traveling here, and everyone else that has come here to show their undying trust in Eria's future: it is not you who should bow to me. I bow to you." With that, Aviel took each side of her dress's skirt in her hands and spread it, then dipped in a curtsy. Ailonwy noted how gracefully she did it, even for an elf. And she rose, smiled, and the crowd burst into a roar of so many things. Ailonwy stood and cheered with them, clapping frantically.

Kamui sat, silently listening to Aviel's words. 'Well, she certainly has a way with words. I think she'll make a fine queen. Eria is in good hands. Hmm... She reminds me of her father, how he rallied an' inspired the troops...' As her speech came to a close Kamui stood and cheered and clapped along with the rest of the crowd. At first anyways. With a swift flick of the hand there was a sound akin to fireworks, and down on Aviel and the podium he sent a shimmering, swirling shower of little Ki particles, seemingly drawn from the air above her. It looked as if it were snowing flecks of silver. Another flick and it seemed as if it were snowing glowing shards of emeralds. "Long live the Queen, and may God bless Eria!" He shouted in Elvish.

Aviel let out a laugh, a genuine laugh, as sparkles fell around her. She leaned her head back, leaving her face open to the glitter. She didn't know who had created them, but she liked it. The guards were worried for a moment... before they realized it was harmless. Some had already strung arrows and had their hands on their swords -- the mages seemed to be the only ones who had not worried about it.
"Hmm," Aviel said, lifting her head upright again. "Ki, I assume?"
"Yes, Your Grace," one of the archers said to her, who was a Ki user. Aviel had never learned to use it herself, but he apparently had. "Definitely Ki energy."
"At ease," she ordered over her shoulder, the crowd cheering even louder after the blast of beautiful energy.
"Without further ado," Aviel said loudly, so that everyone quieted, "I introduce to you all my brother, Luthos, who will be presenting me with the Queen's crown." There was more cheering as a one-armed elf appeared on the platform. No, he didn't step onto it, he appeared on it. He was holding a green pillow with silver tassels, upon which sat a silver crown with emeralds encrusted upon it.
Luthos walked over to her. She curtsied low and closed her eyes. Ailonwy wondered how she held that pose at all, let alone for a moment as her brother lifted the crown from the pillow, which stayed levitated in air by magic, and placed it so that her hair spiked out from it. Aviel then stood straight up again and removed the headband, now that there was no longer any use from it. She threw it to the crowd.
"I'm sorry that I will not be able to stay long, my dear people," Aviel said, turning again to the crowd and speaking before their cheering would cloud her voice. "But I thank you all for coming to my coronation, and I hope that I will some day find the time to return to this lovely city. May good fortune and much love be with you, as you must trust that I will be. Queen Aviel lives in all of your wonderful hearts. Now, move on to the main road! You will find food, drink, music, and more there!" The crowd again cheered, Aviel gave an Elven gesture of farewell, followed by a wave, before heading off of the platform. The crowd began to disperse.
"Aviel!" Luthos whispered harshly in her ear. "Who are those two sitting upon the royal carriage?! Wait, is that the man in your painting?"
"Yes, brother, it is," she responded. "If you don't mind, I'd like to spend a few moments alone with them. Also, would you teleport one of the badges of courage? This man has earned it."
Luthos frowned. "Oh, the High Counselor will have so much fun with this! You know him and his traditions. You curtsied to your people. A queen never does that! And two commoners are sitting atop the royal carriage!" He shook his head. "I pity you."
"Luthos, I am the ruler of Eria now," Aviel said. "And, in my kingdom, no one is a commoner. Understood?"
"Explain that to the counselor." He said. A badge, three green ribbons coming from a silver pin and leading into a silver medal, in which the words "Once a hero of Eria, forever a hero of Eria" were inscribed in Elven, was handed to her from his own.
"Thank you, Luthos," Aviel said as they approached the carriage. "That is all." He rolled his eyes and vanished. "Sy, would you come down? And you... you must be Ailonwy." Ailonwy's eyes grew very wide.
"You mentioned me to the Queen?" she squealed at Kamui, and then she had her arms around his neck and was squeezing him into an embrace. "Oh, thank you so much!" Aviel just smiled patiently.

"Well... yeah," Kamui said, again looking slightly embarrassed as Ailonwy hugged him, "Why wouldn't I have?" To the Queen, "Um... I'll be, be down in a minute... or so... d-did ya' mention food?" Meanwhile, Sakurako hopped off the carriage of her own accord. Yibbles, left to his own devices as Ailonwy was preoccupied with other matters, obliviously walked off the edge of the carriage. The piglet landed on the soft fur of Sakurako's back, for she was well aware of the piglet's absent-minded nature. "Let's... not keep the food, I mean Queen...," Kamui corrected, "Waiting, shall we, Ai?"

ooc;; Yeah, I know. Running two and a half characters at once will do that. o.o
bic;; Ailonwy turned back to the Queen, observing her for a moment. Aviel was used to such things and just stood patiently, her hands folded in front of her. She finally scrambled off the carriage and curtsied before her.
"Your Highness, you are so much more beautiful in person," Ailonwy said sincerely before standing straight up again. "My father was right. He says that your mother was far lovelier in person than in all her paintings."
"Beauty is not what I strive for," Aviel said. "But I thank you all the same. Your father?"
"Yes, Your Grace," Ailonwy responded. "Feiniel Entwistle of the naval guard."
"Well, I cannot say that I know the name," Aviel replied, "but I'm sure he's a fine man."
"Don't take my word for it," Ailonwy said. "He's right there." She pointed. Feiniel was standing before two archers, arguing about passing to his daughter.
"Let him through," Aviel ordered, turning. The archers stood down and allowed Feiniel past. He approached the Queen and did not look into her eyes until after he had given her a bow lower than Ailonwy had seen him give anyone.
"Your Highness, it is an honor," he said. "And it isn't that I don't appreciate being able to meet you personally, but I think I'd like to ask my daughter exactly how..."
"Sy is an old friend," Aviel interjected. She didn't want Kamui to be put through interrogation. "I'm afraid I can say nothing more, and I haven't much time. Perhaps I will return to Balavan and stay with you, Feiniel, if you have an extra room in your house?" Ailonwy's eyes rolled up into her head. Everything went black for her as she fainted.
"Yes, yes of course!" Feiniel answered, bowing low again. "We always have a spare room in our home for royalty." He smiled. "I can imagine you are a very busy woman. It was a pleasure meeting you, Your Grace. May you reign for many years to come." She nodded her head and Feiniel turned to Ailonwy, who was coming to again.
"Um," she groaned. "What happened?"
"I will be visiting you soon, Ailonwy," Aviel informed. "But I must speak with Sy privately for the time being. I hope you enjoy the festival."
"Oh, I will, Your Majesty, I will!" Ailonwy said, jumping to her feet excitedly. She curtsied and Feiniel dragged her off.
"How does he know the Queen?" Feiniel demanded after they were beyond Aviel's earshot.
"I don't know, Father, honest," Ailonwy replied.
"And what were you thinking, sitting atop the carriage like that?" he hissed. "Those seats are reserved for royalty. You cannot go tarnishing them!"
"But I kept the seat clean, Father," Ailonwy said, her bottom lip puckering out and her brow furrowing.
"That's not what I mean," Feiniel sighed. "Commoners like you and Sy have no right sitting there."
"The Queen said that we could," Ailonwy argued.

(You seem to have responded twice, differently both times... Anywho, they basically add up to the same thing.)
Coming down from the carriage, Kamui came to stand beside Sakurako and Yibbles, snoozing on the wolfdog's back. The group stood off to the side. Kamui nodded, seemingly politely listening to Ailonwy and the queen interact, all the while he and Sakurako took small steps into the background... There was a slight gust of wind and Kamui and Sakurako were back just in time to see Feiniel drag Ailonwy off. "Ah, man, I think that had ta' be a personal record for us...," Kamui whispered in Sakurako's ear in wolfspeak. Sakurako nodded silently in agreement. "So!" Kamui said to the queen, and tried to suppressed a belch, "Excuse me. Uh, what is it ya' wanna speak about?" Someone off in the distance was complaining about a whole table of food being cleared in the blink of an eye.

ooc;; Yeah, I was supposed to delete the first one... I'll do that now. Sorry, Kammerz. xD I thought the first one was really crappy, so I redid it...
bic;; Aviel cleared her throat. "Well, I just thought you might want to receive this privately, as you don't seem to enjoy basking in your good deeds," she said, offering the badge. "You will always be a friend of Eria, Sy." She winked.
"A whole table?" someone was growling in the background. "Where is 'e? I'll skin 'im alive!"
"I don't know!" another snarled. "It was so fast. I turned away to wave farewell to my aunt, turned back, and nothing was left but empty bowls and plates!"
"I wish I could stay longer, but duty calls," Aviel said after a deep breath. She knew the High Counselor would be bloodthirsty when she got back. "I hope you'll come visit me at the palace one day."

He took the badge and thanked her properly in Elvish. Glancing briefly out of the corner of his eyes in the direction of the shouts, he looked back at the queen. "Ah. Heh." He smiled a bit. "I suppose you'll be very busy indeed, runnin' a country an' all. Me on the other hand? Well, I'm jus' a wanderer, so I'm all over the place, but..." He smiled a bit more, "Keep your kitchens well stocked an' I jus' might pop in from time ta' time." With that he turned and started to walk off, throwing a wave over his shoulder. "See ya' round, Avi." 'Now, I wonder where Ai got off to? ...Hey, this thing is pretty spiffy. Looks like real silver. Hero of Eria, eh?' He thought to himself, moving through the crowd as he examined the badge for a moment before putting in one of his vest's pockets.. Sakurako walked by his side, Yibbles still snoozing on the soft fur of her back.
(So, now that the titular coronation is over, I'd imagine we'd be finishing up this thread soon, no?)

ooc;; Indeed. This will be my finishing post! You can post one, too, if you feel the need, or whatever. xD I don't mind.
bic;; "Our kitchens are always stocked," Aviel called after him, tossing him an affable smile before being helped into the carriage. The driver pulled her back onto the main road, and her guards completed a formation around the carriage.
"That went better than I could have expected," Aviel said to herself. She looked thoughtful for a moment and then slouched in her seat. It had to have been the first time she had did it since she was a child and knew no better. She tried relaxing as Kamui had, but the attempt only made her laugh. She sat up straight again and waved out the window to... her people... as they made to leave Balavan behind.
"That's right, I met the Queen!" Ailonwy was telling several people. "She is so beautiful, and she accents all her words and sounds so refined."
"What did she say?" a gnome asked. He looked an awful lot like the one she had stumbled over earlier, but Ailonwy didn't seem to notice.
"She said my name," Ailonwy responded proudly, jabbing her thumb into her chest.
"How did your friend know her?" an Elf asked her. Ailonwy shrugged.
"Not sure," she admitted.
"Maybe he's a long lost love," a female human said dreamily. Ailonwy laughed, though it was forced.

ooc;; I have nooo idea. ;_; I was considering DECLARING WAR ON NROH. But that's too dramatic, and I know you have plans for things and I don't wanna muck it all up. xD Plus, Eria's a happy place, and for now, I kinda like that. xD
I'm not sure what else to do with Aviel and Eria. I can't really role play her anywhere except for the castle from here on out, or special social occasions, where she's swamped by Erian fanatics. xD Buuut, I was thinking about making it so that she creates an alias, redoes her features, and goes under disguise as a commoner of Eria to get an inside look at things.

Did you ever make that sub-board for her castle in Aluen? Anywho, you could declare war on Nroh, though I always figured the Drow to be the one to start the next war... Anywho! Did I say that? That could be interestin', her dressin' up as a commoner.

ooc;; Yeah, I've always seen Nroh as being the instigators of a war, with elves being peace-loving things, but I can't control Nroh. T__T
I think I might have her make a small area of Eria for the centaurs. Like, she goes undercover, and in doing so she meets a centaur who is treated differently because of who he is. She learns from the centaur that they are treated like that throughout the whole world, and so decided to give them a little piece of land. I was thinking it'd be in the Theros Tundra, perhaps.
I don't know, what do you think?
