In all honesty Rory had no idea what she was letting herself in for, but it was probably better that way. She looked relieved when they were finally back in the room and out of the drafty corridor, the heat from the fire wrapping around her as he helped her out of her coat. “Traditional? Nothing that we do is traditional, Phoenix.” She murmured, smiling to him. “We just like to break the mould and do things our own way. Maybe we will start our own kind of traditional.” She winked, though soon all thoughts of conversation went out of the window. Rory got the feeling that this celebration wouldn’t involve much talking to one another.
She leant against his chest as his arm around her waist, her fingertips lightly brushing over the back of his neck as they kissed. It shouldn’t really have been a surprise that Phoenix’s hands were somewhere unexpected. She glanced up at him, only catching on to just why he was playing with the buttons on her dress when she saw that crooked smile. She blushed, of course she blushed, glancing away from him for a second before biting her lower lip lightly and glancing back up at him. Her nod was only slight, the Princess leaning up to place a light kiss on the side of his neck as permission for him to help her out of that dress. Well, she was soaked to the bone and shivering, she needed to get out of that wet dress and she didn’t really want to move away from Phoenix.
Plus, they were married now, and they were celebrating. Still, she felt awkward and clumsy all of a sudden. This was going to be interesting.
