"Entertainment? I've never been in a gambling parlor before..." She murmured as she looked up at him, catching that glint in his eyes. Oh, she he had a very mortal addiction did he? Evelyn had never been able to see what was so fun about loosing money in silly little games that were made to trick people into losing their coins. She could think of much better things to spend coins on, if she had any, like trinkets and glittery things and other such things. Maybe she should get Vyncent to buy her a dagger too? Just so she could attempt to fight when injured. Yes, she expected there would be lots of fighting with Vyncent as your traveling companion.
"I'm ready to go." She nodded as she hopped up to her feet, brushing all the dust from her coat before unbuckling it to take it off and carry it over her arm, too warm wearing that already. "It's all wet, are we swimming or are you feeding the water to your fire? Your fire is very thirsty you know, I gave it water all last night and it still kept drinking it." She nodded to him, sounding surprised by this yet totally and utterly serious.

Vyncent's face was priceless as she mentioned feeding water to his fire... sort of half surprised, half trying not to laugh, with a little bit of confusion tangled up in there. "Yes, Evelyn. I'm going to feed some water to my fire." he nodded eventually, seeming just as serious as she was in that strange, deluded tone of voice. Let her believe what she liked; he was NOT getting into an argument about whether water was a food for fire or not. Not today. It was too sunny.
He nodded and smiled as they set off, Vyncent's cloak billowing out behind him as they walked - the heat didn't bother him at all, of course. Even in the height of summer he could probably walk for miles dressed as though he was in the arctic, scarf and all. They moved at a fast speed now, mostly considering that they were going downhill instead of up, meeting up with the water only an hour later. "Hm." he murmured, a hissing noise emitting from the water as it began to steam with the heat of unseen flames. "You doing okay back there?" he asked Evelyn.

Evelyn had fallen quiet about five minutes ago, having grown bored with just walking after around five minutes. She was currently walking along with a fluffy dandelion head in her hands, grinning at the thing as she stroked it lightly. "Ummmhummm." She answered to Vyncent, coming to a stop beside him. "How come this flower is furry, I thought only animals could be furry?" She commented with a pout, plucking one of the little seeds from the head to let it drift off on the breeze, smiling lightly as she watched it go. Aww, she was easily amused wasn't she?
"We're almost there now aren't we?" She asked, though most of her attention seemed to be on the plant, her eyes glittering as she got an idea. She took a deep breath before blowing on the fluffy head of the plant, clapping her hands together excitedly as she dropped the stalk, watching all the little seeds float up into the air, seeming awed by what had just happened. "Ohhh! I want another one of those!" She exclaimed, looking around to see if she could find another.

"It just... it is." Vyncent turned to lift a brow at her; she really was so damn amused by the smallest things sometimes wasn't she? He had to duck as all of the dandylion seeds floated over his head - it wasn't the most intimidating thing to walk into a bustling town with plant seeds in your hair, was it? "Almost ready, then we can head straight on to Valley Town." he nodded as the flooding receded around them to just a few puddles. Much better, he was more likely to walk on THAT.
He surprised himself by laughing at her amusement at the flower, his mind wondering what the hell was wrong with him. 'You've been with her for a grand total of about four days and you havent killed her yet. That DOESN'T mean you can relax around her.' the little voice in the back of his head was insistent, the demon pointedly deciding to ignore it and turn back to the cleared pathway. "There should be more along the way here." he promised her, the crunch of his boots on stone marking the way forwards as he turned around the bend into the valley.

"Where do they go when they fly off?" She questioned curiously, reaching up on her tiptoes to try and swipe the fluffy seeds from the air, jumping up as she realized they were out of her reach, though that didn't stop her trying. The shifter abandoned her search for another of those plants as she spent her time waiting for him to dry the river up springing around behind him trying to catch the fluffy seeds, which were swirling higher and higher into the sky and further out of her reach.
"More? Really? Are you sure?" She asked as she hopped off along the road in front of him, dashing off to dodge between the puddles and check the hedging for more of those plants. She was too excitable, they wouldn't make much of a threatening entrance into town with her in a mood like this. Her hair streamed out behind her as she ran, making it resemble fire even more as it flickered out behind her.
