"I wouldn't worry about me bein' implicated. I didn't get near the gate, I never actually saw ya' until Sak brought ya' here. I was waitin' in the trees, remember? All the people saw was you an' two wolves chasin' each other. Hmmm... I'm not worried about Sak, but you're probably right about the guards comin' soon."
The humanoid then did a little bow, grinning ear to ear and continued:
"I think I'd rather fancy a ride on a dragon. Thankee kindly.
Wolfezth snorted, This guy ain't phased by anything, is he? Probably a diplomat or something, an armed one too. Can't seem to get a negative feeling from him. He thought as he looked around for a good place to transform without smashing into anything, and saw not too far down the road was a spot where the road gently sloped down into a sort of a flat area of gravel. It wasn't entirely big enough for him to stand on the flat part, he judged, so he'd be at an angle but still easily workable. Now all that remained was to appraise the mercenary of the position he was in and then to take off. Wolfezth then stuffed both hands back against his leather breastplate, pulling it back out slightly out of habit.
"Hey, whatever your name is, ya' wanna take a ride on a dragon? A bunch of guards are headin' this way."
Wolfezth smirked, and called out in a calm, clear, and commanding voice that came very easily to him in his long years, similar to that he would use to a young recruit he was teaching the ropes of swordsmanship:
"Lookie here, merc. I busted the chops out of two guards here a tick or two ago, and one or both might've keeled over since then. The guards think I'm on the run, which right now is technically true. Yer ass has been seen with me, and thus you are, in Avalonian bullshit court, a conspirator to the murder; or assault if they didn't die of the keepers of the peace or whatever they call it now. It'd be in your best interests to come with us and get as far away from these red-faced dirtbags and keep a low, low, low profile for a week or three. You see, they really don't like me in these parts, and if you stay long enough I wouldn't be at all surprised if they made just how much they hate me clear to you. You will never see a sign or a notice or a proclamation saying about I'm the best in front of any higher up building in Avalas. Let this be a lesson to you in not chasing after wolves going super duper fast that hit you in the face. A valuable life lesson for ya, 'eh? Your choice here; 'cause I'm only waiting for maybe a minute or two longer for ya. Take your chances riding a dragon or take your chances with the miffed guard contingent. If you choose the latter, just remember -- Wolf here told ya so."
At this, Wolfezth grinned and pulled his hands out of his armor and wiped both hands together like one might do when both are covered in dirt and you wish to dust it off of your hands as he walked towards the slope and gravel flat plain he saw earlier at a brisk pace, hoping that at least one had the brains to follow him. He also distinctly hoped he didn't get poked in the back with one of their weapons for his generosity, either. Only time would tell, he figured. Might as well do what he can to minimize the repercussions of his actions -- which were perfectly justified in the first place. The nerve of stopping HIM... Wolfezth the Tidechanger, what arrogance! It made him shake his head as he walked towards the gravel as well, grinning even wider as he did so. Stupid, stupid humans.

God damn dog. It could turn faster than Vindex had predicted. Though his inertia carried him further, his boots dug into the soft, forest soil, quickly slowing him, and he began to chase after the wolf-dog, the blade in his off-hand, the left, being used to cut and hack through any branches that happened to be in the way than he couldn't brush aside. Were it not for the closing distance between both the two on the road and himself, their offer of escape, (from the city guard who were still a ways off, more than likely) would've gone completely unnoticed in his pursuit of the wolf, and slowing for a moment as he listened, Vindex only caught part of it over the crunch and noise of his footsteps on the underbrush.
"... wanna take a ride on a dragon? A bunch of guards are headin' this way."
Well, that brought the question of why would Vindex really care about the guards? That too, it seems would be answered in but a few moments.
"Lookie here, merc."
Lookie. Vindex hadn't heard that word in ages, not since he'd left his home.
"I busted the chops out of two guards here a tick or two ago, and one or both might've keeled over since then. The guards think I'm on the run, which right now is technically true. Yer ass has been seen with me, and thus you are, in Avalonian bullshit court, a conspirator to the murder; or assault if they didn't die of the keepers of the peace or whatever they call it now. It'd be in your best interests to come with us and get as far away from these red-faced dirtbags and keep a low, low, low profile for a week or three."
Hmm. This did make since, and, Vindex, in usual barbarian fashion, sat and considered, pondering for a brief moment or two, and he came to agree with the man, the Avalan System did have a very bad scatter effect, though Vindex still didn't get where the dragon came in. Starting again on his way towards the two, he was only a few feet away as Wolf continued,
"You see, they really don't like me in these parts-"
"I wonder why."
Vindex audibly mused in a sarcastic tone, his breath still heavy from the immediate bit of action he'd had back in the thicket moments earlier, though his attention had been diverted, he still held something of a small grudge against the wolf-creature.
"and if you stay long enough I wouldn't be at all surprised if they made just how much they hate me clear to you.
Emerging from the thicket in time to see the man wiping his hands, he slid his blade into his belt, the axe still remaining in his hand, a strange feeling to keep it out remaining even after his blood began to cool. Looking to the other man, the one with the hair, the one with the odd feeling about him, he could see the white wolf sitting not far from him. Undoubtedly master of the beast, Vindex decided to give the animal little more than a glance as he turned his gaze back to the armored one, who was striding towards the nearby road. Speaking, Vindex attempted to ignore his earlier loss against the creature, hoping that he could forget it in the coming days.
"So. Ride on dragon. Sounds good, as long as I'm not its next meal."

(Bleh... Sorry for the delay in responding.)
Kamui stood silently while Wolf called out to the other man, explaining the situation in more detail. He looked toward the bushes when Sakurako emerged from them, Yibbles not far behind. "Thanks, Sak." He said taking the rutsack and slinging it over his shoulder. The wolfdog caught Kamui's eye and then nodded toward Vindex as he emerged from the bush. "Hey," Kamui called to Vindex and motioned to Sakurako. "She wants to apologize."

"I wonder why."
Wolfezth heard the merc say sarcastically, in a tone not unlike the one he himself used quite often. Wolfezth decided to match sarcasm with sarcasm and say:
"Well, I was potting some plants up in the centre of town -- some of those dandelions. Then the guards started chasin' me 'cause dandelions are illegal there, and it all went downhill from there."
"So. Ride on dragon. Sounds good, as long as I'm not its next meal."
To this and the humanoid's comments that did not concern him, he did not reply. He had an idea on how to flashily make a reply without having to say a word.
When Wolfezth was far enough into the clearing to give himself room to transform, Wolfezth pointed both his thumb and his index fingers straight up in the air and let his steel gray eyes gaze upwards as he transformed - a swift change in form but very impressive for someone who'd never seen it before. Wings sprouted from his back, his mouth elongated into a maw, black and white scales grew all over his body, and his form expanded many times. He transformed into his true form, his steel gray eyes still looking to the sky when he completed the transformation -- his lack of ridges or frills was going to make it rather hard to hold on if he went too fast; however. So he resolved to only go as fast as he needed do to prevent needing to scoop any of the two up from falling into the landscape below.
Wolfezth was about the size of your average house, his black scales glinting in the weak sunlight, the black bottoms to the scales becoming much more apparent in the sunlight due to the fact that they shined more. Wolfezth then lowered his left shoulder and left forearm to allow the merc, the humanoid, and the animals to get on his back.
"All aboard the dragon! You're gonna need to hold yer animals, and it might be a tad 'ard to hold on; but I'll go slow." Wolfezth said after twisting his head to face the odd group of humanoids behind him. He then tried to give a reassuring grin, but on a draconic maw it just looked like he was baring his teeth at them. Wolfezth realized his quickly and stopped, giving a weak shrug while waiting for the humanoids to move. "Also," Wolfezth added, "you kinda need to tell me where y'all want to go. Unless you want me to pick; in which case Ising is the ideal travelling destination. What with the nice weather, breathtaking landscape, and friendly, neighborly inhabitants it's just great!" Wolfezth said this seriously, without the slightest hint on sarcasm in his voice. Let 'em take dat as they will. He thought, swishing his tail back and forth slowly in anticipation for flight. Whether it was just flying from one place to another, aerial combat, or just flying for fun Wolfezth absolutely loved flying, the sky, and the feel of the wind against your scales. As such, all flights are fun and infinitely enjoyable. Wolfezth expected this one to be more different, maybe with the occasional squabble or chasers; but still an exhilarating experience... For him, at least.
Naturally, the sudden appearance of a fearsome dragon right next to the road caused quite a panic among travellers, who started running as if possessed toward Cressa or just in the opposite direction. They had to move quickly, Wolfezth knew. He could've went onto the other side of the thicket of woods and probably transformed in an open spot there, but it would've wasted time and he was far too impatient to do that. He realized now that time was really of the essence, and soon the guards and whatever aerial support they could muster would come to combat the threat... In this case, the big black and white dragon that just happened to be Wolfezth. He turned his head to watch the panic with a mild interest, and when he saw one foolhardy or brave human try to run past the stretch of road Wolfezth was standing near, he snaked his head near the human and opened his jaws and growled ferociously when he passed - making no other move to attack but causing even more panic and discord among the travellers. The human - a male of average height and dressed in commoner clothes not uncommon in a village-setting ran for his life at the snarling, which amused Wolfezth quite a bit. While he was here in Avalas, he reasoned, he might as well have a bit of fun.

Vindex stood in the road, a few scrapes and cuts on his arms, caused by the thorns of the plants he had only a few minutes ago emerged fromm only beginning to sting, with a few of them beginning also to puff up in infection, but Vindex wasn't terribly worried, he was more interested in what the ochre-haired man, or rather humanoid, had to say as he spoke, gesturing towards the white wolf,
"Hey... She wants to apologize."
Nodding towards the man as he pondered for a moment as to how a dog could apologize, but dismissed it soon after as he simply said,
"A'ight. Just tell... her,"
Waiting for only a moment before actually addressing it with a pronoun, Vindex continued,
"...to use more caution in the future. Many don't take kindly to being tripped at high speeds."
Soon thereafter he turned, in time to not witness the transformation, which had taken place as he had spoken to the fellow with the fluorescent hair, and only saw a (comparatively)large dragon where there had once been a human mercenary. Blinking twice in surprise, a delay lasting roughly two seconds between them, Vindex pondered just what he wanted to say, opening his mouth by about a centimeter for a few moments before closing it again in thought. Stepping back slightly to take in the sight better, the rough, almost gravel like dirt making a nice crumbling noise beneath his boots as he did so.
Waiting for the dragon to finish speaking, saying something of a place called Ising with a voice dripping with sarcasm, though Vindex knew next to nothing about the place the humor was lost on him. Thinking for a few moments before shrugging slightly, Vindex threw his arms up a bit, only a foot or two from his waist, and as he approached the dragon (for the first couple of steps) apprehensively, spoke in a somewhat hurried tone,
"I don't have anywhere better to be, as long as there's work to do when we get where we're going."
His footing on the Dragon's arm at first wasn't too satisfactory, his left boot's hobnails failing to grasp onto the scales and slipped off quite violently, though he managed to catch himself before he tumbled off completely, and after righting himself and straightening his gear continued to climb upon the beast until he finally found a spot on Wolf's upper back that he liked enough and relaxed, thinking himself ready for the flight.
Needless to say, he wasn't.

(Jeez... my posts are dinky, especially next to you guys.)
"There's no need for me ta' tell her," Kamui said to Vindex, "She can understand..." He trailed off as he spoke, watching Wolf's transformation over the barbarian's shoulder. "Ha ha!" He cried out excitedly, clapping his hands. "Brilliant! It's been awhile since I've seen a good transformation... I don't have anywhere in particular, but don't ya' think Ísing will be just a tad too cold for our human friend?" He motioned to Vindex. "Tsk, tsk. Behave yourself." Kamui said, when Wolf roared the poor man, lightly tapping the dragon's shoulder as he nimbly climbed onto his back. Yibbles was in his arm, Sakurako managed to climb up on her own. "As for holding on, this might be of some help..." Placing the piglet in his lap, he fished around in his rutsack and from it produced a length of coiled rope.
