"Stupid children should go home." Ndegwa said and continued eating his fish.
(Ooh. Sorry for the one-liner. To clarify, if you're confused, he knows the word "night" in Common, but not "knight".)

(No worries, and yeah, I got that. Etoile is just teasing.)
"You shouldn't say stupid things if you don't want me to give stupid resonses." She shrugged, though she did pout at being called a child. "And I am not a child." The flames flickered violently once again, as though to puncutate her words, before going back to curling around her hand. She was stood right next to the fire now, hand in the flames, not even seeming to realise what she was doing.
"Knight is different to night. A Knight is a man who dresses up in armor and rides around killing monsters for honour and glory, or something along those lines. They save Princess' from dragons too. So, they will think that you are a monster, and they will hunt you. Make sense now?" She asked, something about her tone telling that she wouldn't explain this again.

"Warriors here weak. Hide in metal shell. Most people leave Ndegwa alone." There was enough of a variety of humanoid races in the world that Ndegwa wasn't generally attacked on sight. People kept their distance, for sure, but most figured him a particularly large half-orc. He was growing weary of this bothersome girl. But then she put her hand in the flame and it did not burn. Ndegwa's hand instinctively moved to the handle of the club across his back. "Magic!" He growled warily.

"Weak they maybe to you seeing as they are about half your size, but seeing as they are double my size I find them rather annoying. I suppose that you should be alright as long as they don't gang up on you..." She seemed to be half speaking to herself then, a absent look in her eyes as she gazed at the fire.
Ndegwa broke the calm in her mind as he growled at her, Etoile looking genuinly confused as she looked up at him. "Magic? Oh...wait...the fire..." She swiftly removed her hand from the flames and hid it behind her back, smiling to him innocently. "I am just fireproof, I don't burn. It's not really magic."

He removed his hand from the club, but remained suspicious of the girl. He had sensed something off about her. "If not magic, why no burn?" He forcefully inquired of Etoile.

"Because I am half demon." She told him with a small shrug, as though it was the most normal thing in the world. "Half fire demon to be exact. Fire demons don't burn, and I don't burn. It's simple really." Etoile gave Ndegwa a rather innocent smile then before letting her hand move back to drift into the flames. "See, no magic at all. I just don't burn."

"Entítō ɔ́lɛ ɔl-ɔɨrírūā*...?" Ndegwa was quite alarmed when she told him what she was. He dropped his fish and leapt to his feet, taking his massive iron club in hand. Towering over Etoile, taking an intimidating stance, he called out in a booming voice, "Íno! Be off!"
(*Roughly "daughter of a devil".)

Well, she hadn't been expecting that kind of reaction from him. How could anyone that was more than double her size be so shook up by her ancestry? It baffled her, so much so that she forgot that right now she should be running to stop him squishing her rather than standing and gawping up at him.
She really did feel very small when he stood in front of her like that, and her ears were ringing from him yelling. "You can't honestly tell me that you are scared of me?" She scowled ever so slightly in confusion, tilting her head at him now. Well, if nothing else, Vyncent would have found this sitatuion highly amusing. How did she get herself into these messes?

"Not scared." He had quickly regained his stoic composure. "Careful." He held his heavy club in one hand, raising it up and pointing it at her. "Ndegwa's soul is Ndegwa's soul. Ndegwa will crush entítō ɔ́lɛ ɔl-ɔɨrírūa if she use evil magic."

"Your soul?" She arched an eyebrow at him, doing herbest not to burst out laughing; she doubted that laughing at him right now would help the situation. "I don't steal souls, but if it makes you feel better then I promise not to steal yours."
With that she brushed her hair back over her shoulder, looking away for a moment before suddenly looking back up at him. "And my name is Etoile...wait...can you say that? ...no...actually, you can just call me Star, it's easier."

"Feh!" He grumbled. "Ɔl-ɔɨrírūā great liars. Evil." He brought is club down in a great crash that put out the fire. Picking the fish up from the ground, he put them in his mouth and started to walk away. Demons were not undeserving of their vile reputation, and Ndegwa wanted nothing to do with this half-demon girl.

The swish of air that his club made as it came down towards the ground ruffled her hair, Etoile having only just managed to snatch her hand out of the way of the weapon. The shaking of the ground almost made her lose her balance, causing her to take a few precautionary steps back away from him.
"I am not a li-...well...I'm not evil...not evil in the real sense of the word anyway. Hey! Wait!" She yelled after him, moving to follow, setting out at a brisk stride to keep up with him. "Why would I do anything evil to you? Or lie to you? You would squash me, and I really would rather that I didn't get squashed."

He said nothing to Etoile at first, merely spitting out some fish bones and continuing to walk. "Why you follow? Be off!"
(I feel like this needs a plot of some sort. Heh. You know, something more then my character trying to brush off your character.)

(When do you want the knightish person to come? Nows?)
"Why shouldn't I follow you?" She pouted, folding her arms over her chest. "You are being terribly difficult, you know, I've already told you that I'm not going to do anything evil, so what's your problem."

(Oh, crap. I didn't notice your reply. Sorry. Anyway, yeah. The person can come in whenever.)
"Feh!" He grumbled. "Ɔl-ɔɨrírūā bring bad luck by just being near."
(Nooo! Not a one-liner...)
